Woah woah calm down guys. Didnt expect my opinion to spark up so much drama. I’m too a PA fan. Im happy for everyone else who is enjoying the show. I just couldn’t really get into it. No wrong or right here.
Example: watching veil of shadows made me cry, but it annoyed the hell out of my sister. I enjoyed it. She hated it.
Moral of the story: everyone has the right to feel what they feel. No wrong or right. Just differing opinions. I loveeee dramas n M a cdrama addict just like u guys. so let’s all get along.
PS: Re-reading my post I can see how it can be triggering if I happened to enjoy the drama. Didnt mean to upset all PA lovers out there! Peace n love
I love li Yun rui n I really wanna get into the story but everytime I think about the FL being only 16 n the ML is 26 when this drama was shot, I cringe. I mean there is an abundance of female actresses over the legal age. What kind of power n resources BTS does the female lead have to land her this juicy role.
Chu Qiao is such a complex character to begin with, so much pain, anguish, and with that wisdom. But when I see the FL she tries to appear stoic, but her eyes look blank. I don’t see any story there. All the female supporting actresses are outshining her. When u put a teen against professional actresses the contrast is even more obvious. What a waste of a potential great FL role to hand it to her. Why not take a little more time to train n improve so when she does score a leading role and the spotlight is on her, she can shine. She’s not there yet. She’s still a baby, looks like one. I cannot see “survivor” “general”. I keep trying to give her the benefit of the doubt every episode. What is the director doing telling everybody’s story in flashback? There isn’t any buildup. It keeps pulling me away from getting invested in each of the characters. The flashbacks keep bouncing here and there as well. I was so excited waiting for this start airing. Now going through each episode feels so long. I’m not sure whether I can continue watching.
OMG. Ding Yu Xi's acting is seriously on another level... I couldn't cry any harder warching the episodes detailing his background and story.. He should be nominated for an award for this role. YOu can literally see the anguish in his eyes.. watch the cast cry along while watching his scenes: https://youtu.be/5nSSWXgGKdE?si=gkK5ukdhOiWbkjLf
