It was a happy ending, but is JW really going to stay in a relationship with a ghost she can't see? Is not that…
I like ghost stories and I was going to watch this as soon as I made certain that there is a happy ending. But... What kind of nonsense ending is this: "stay in a relationship with a ghost she can't see?"?!?!? Is this what really happens?!?!? Really?!?!?
I loved the first season but could barely finish the first episode of the second! This here is a proof that there should be no second seasons for K dramas. Usually a very bad idea and every time a disappointment!
Thank you!A lot of people are very easily embarrassed then, much more than I am. Because a lot of times I find…
Since it is a vampire drama I kind of expected them to stick to usual vampire tropes but apparently it is not the case here. But they seem to have given it a Buddhist twist, reincarnation etc. and even though it sounds interesting, I am not sure I would appreciate it as I should. I usually like these quirky dramas and I love this director's works (I Will Knock You is an underrated gem!). I will probably watch this one day, your detailed review almost convinced me to give it another go today. Maybe next week..
Cringe or the second hand embarrassment is when characters are willingly doing humiliating and embarrassing things so much so it makes the watcher uncomfortable. That is how I understand it. Nice review. Very eloquently written and argued convincingly. I watched the first episode which I quite liked but when I checked the ending, I did not like what I heard.... It sounded too much like the ending of Doctor, I'm Coming For Soul which I hated.
I was debating whether to watch this: I am over my vampire phase but you mentioned the director so I checked out his work. He actually made a few dramas I really enjoyed so I will be starting this now. Thank you for the push in the right direction!🥰 I am looking forward to the rest of your review!
I think it's cultural. Unlike westerns, asians are less individualistic and have stronger sense of community.…
That is how I understood it so thank you for confirming it. I can't help but feel sorry, especially for those young adults, when they are used and abused by relatives in the name of "respect and obey your elders" even when those "elders" are only a few months older...Helping each other and being taken advantage of are two wastely different things.
Thanks for the alert. I modified the text to make several issues clear. The problem, Selma, is that English is…
English not your native tongue?!?!? I would not have thought that: your reviews are very long, eloquently written and well argumented. In this case, I thought the character might be trans and thus the wandering pronouns were used...I haven't seen the film yet!
I have no idea how this landed on my PTW list since I could not care less about teen love life and thier constant presence on line. Nevertheless, this was a cute single watch. Episode 10 is nowhere to be found. I never noticed anything was missing plotwise....🤣
Interesting idea for a story (falling in love in spite of a language barrier) but LJG's acting here is atrociously bad: he cannot play a teen to save his life! So much overacting from a talented actor! The film was saved by the subtle acting of Miyazaki Aoi, she is so beautiful. What a waste !
Totally agree with you, and this trend goes on in K, Thai, Taiwan dramas and novels! Seriously, what’s wrong…
That was a huge shock for me when I started watching dramas and noticed that trope(debt, loan sharks etc.)...I could never understand that level of irresponsibility. The same goes for excessive drinking and finding drunk people cute...But that is a different drama! 😉

I think it is cultural too. Respecting and obeying without questionning anyone older than yourself does not exist to this level in the West. Luckily !🙂

PS I love your profile gif: where is it from?

I am having trouble recognizing Daisy Lee: she does not look like her pfp anymore?!?!?! Weird make up, I wonder?
