Just finished watching this. Now I understand why only this particular series is getting a sequel.
Truthfully, I'm more intrigued with stories with age-gap or step-siblings kind of thing, but I really enjoy this series more than I'd ever imagine. The school trouble maker and the volleyball club's previous ace. I love the confession scene and all of those heartbreaking scenes! Yu Hao's actor's expression is really on point.
But the transition between badass Yu Hao and cutie Yu Hao happened too fast for me. I mean, he's THE trouble maker but because Xuan helped him once, it was like he suddenly changed. (Technically, I know it was not that sudden, but because it was too fast it looked like he had a change of personality out of nowhere)
Overall, I love this so much. I love watching Xuan avoiding Yu Hao like a plague and Yu Hao being hurt because of it. Hurt/comfort stories are the best.
The second pair is adorable, too! Wish they could get their own story.
My favorite is Stay Away From Me. The feels! It makes my heart aches. Aside from Meng Meng, of course. I also can't understand why people worship her so much. She should've mind her own business. It's weird but I still can tolerate her fantasizing about her own friend with (technically) a stranger, but her writing a confession letter and signed it with Feng He's name as a joke or maybe as a mean to get them together? Nah.
As for My Hero, it will be great if Gu Si Ren can obtain his body back sooner and not just after Hero kissed Lan Xi. I would love to see Gu Si Ren being all shy and cute and Hero all whipped for his lover.
Contrary to popular opinion, Stay Away From Me is my favorite out of three stories in the first season.
It pains me when Chen Qing was being pushed away and rejected. But I can also understand how Feng He was confused and afraid because of their status as family and both of them being men. The fight and (temporary) separation were being acted so well by the actors.
I wish this has more than four episodes so their emotion and relationship development wouldn't feel as rushed.
