Even in the preview of Ep 17-18, he was willing to argue with Jin Zhao for Jiang Mu. Show me a better man than him 😭♥️

Yeah I get you but according to the plot, majority of the drama was in the year after the battle of Lucheng where Duan Aoze "dies" and Duan Aodeng/Jin An loses his memory. And from how they showed it, there was this fragile peace in that year with both militaries exhausted and their resources depleted. Like yeah, mini-attacks were made here and there but no full scale war.

At the same time, I do wish they did the fighting/action scenes better. The action scenes in the prisoner of beauty and the legend of the female general were well done, particularly the legend of the female general, the fight scenes were legit chefs kiss

Cheng Lei's acting really shines through here, shows how good of an actor he is pulling off the different personalities. It was so good that I could tell the difference between just Jin An, just Duan Aodeng and when he was Jin An/Aodeng mix. Hats off to him, I'm a fan.

This was my first time seeing Song Yi in a drama and she did a pretty good job, will look forward to seeing her more.

Also, I was so happy to see Darren Chen. He has been consistently working but none of his works have stood out.

Bi Wenjun, I knew wouldn't be disappointed. I haven't seen many dramas of his but the one or two I have seen, he definitely did not disappoint

His identity as Prince Annan? He gets those memories back in ep 30/31

Definitely one of the best short cdramas I've watched to date. Male lead has a lot of potential, looking forward to seeing his growth in the industry

This, something I definitely agree with. As I would like to say, sure she’s a mother and doesn’t WANT to hurt her child and thinks it’s for her childs best but good intentions do not justify poor actions. Because we all know when those poor actions result is bad outcomes most of the time and the blame goes onto the kid like she is doing here. if she really wanted what was best for her child she would learn to compromise and actually listen and think about what her children are telling her instead of just being saying she isn’t wrong. What would really be for her kid is to learn to respect her kids thoughts and opinions and learn to find a middle ground to make both of them happy

I felt bad for her but her passive aggression to mokha was unwarranted. She’s doing to mokha exactly what ranjoo did to her, misdirecting her anger.

If you can watch online, you could watch on the website itself or on onetouchtv, they are updating with the viki subs. Even on youtube, I think they've been fixing the subtitles, at least I know they did for the first 3-4 episodes, after that I started watching the viki version so I don't know if they continued to update the youtube subtitles or not. But you could try that. The machine translations are such a headache to understand 😭😭😭

It's an entertaining yet typical weekend drama but gotta say, the only decent characters are the MLs mom and step-dad ( though they have their faults but not big enough for them to be considered bad people), maybe yumyung? So far she's been nice and FLs uncle. Everyone else is completely crazy. Sejin's dad is decent too and I can understand why he is upset the way he is because he doesn't know at all the type of person his daughter is and how she lied and cornered taekyung
