The comments here which are blaming and bashing the FL are a bunch of hypocrites. I bet you'll are the same people…
"Honestly, I don't quite agree that 'the first frost' surpasses 'Hidden Love'. What draws me to dramas like 'Hidden Love', 'Our Generation', and 'When I Fly Towards You' is the way they depict the female lead's unwavering efforts and dedication to the relationship, even in the face of adversity. I admire how these dramas feature strong, proactive female characters who spare no effort for their loved ones. The emphasis on the female lead's hard work and perseverance is what makes these dramas stand out, especially in the C-drama genre. While opinions may vary, I find these dramas both inspiring and captivating."

Hello viewers,

I’m looking for some information and thought I’d give this a try.

First of all, I’m not into harem-type dramas—by that, I mean stories where the male lead (ML) has a wife and multiple concubines besides the female lead (FL). What I want to know is:

Does the ML end up with only the FL in the end, as his sole wife or partner?

Do any of the women who come to his manor genuinely have feelings for him, or are they all there for ulterior motives (e.g., spies, political pawns)?

Does any woman, whether it’s the FL or one of the concubines, get hurt emotionally because of the ML’s actions or neglect?

To clarify:

If a woman is scheming or manipulative, I’m fine with her facing consequences.

But if she’s innocent and truly sincere, and ends up being used or hurt, I really wouldn’t like that.

Ideally, I’d like a story where no innocent woman suffers, and if there are other women around the ML, he sends them away respectfully and with dignity, without anyone being discarded unfairly or humiliated.

Hey everyone! I hope my review is helpful. Of course, everyone has their own opinion about this drama, but personally, I think it's a fantastic family drama that’s definitely worth watching.

### **Direction & Storyline:**
The story follows the five daughters of the Li family, with Mrs. Li, who comes from a wealthy Luoyang background, moving to Bianjing to find suitable matches for them. The direction is well-executed, and what I really appreciate is that the director didn’t show any bias. Every lead character got their fair share of screen time, and no couple overshadowed the others—something that’s often hard to balance in multi-lead dramas.

### **Addressing the Negativity:**
I've seen some complaints about Chai An and Kang Ning not getting enough screen time after a few episodes, which disappointed some fans. But honestly—why? This drama revolves around five main couples, and it’s only fair that everyone gets equal screen time. If you're upset that one couple didn’t get excessive focus, then that’s just being unfair to the others.

--

Liang Yong (fourth lead who plate shen )Qi is receiving hate because of his previous role in the drama *The Double,* where he played the character of a scum ex-husband who shockingly buried his wife alive. Yes, his character was despicable, but let’s be clear—that’s *acting*! The role doesn’t define who he is in real life.

The hate he’s getting now, to the point where people are refusing to watch his new dramas, is completely unfair. Is it his fault that the director cast him in that role? No. Did he choose to play the character poorly? Absolutely not! In fact, he portrayed the role so convincingly that people are unable to separate the actor from the character. Instead of hating him, shouldn’t we acknowledge his incredible acting skills? He delivered exactly what the role demanded—flawlessly.

Rather than discouraging him, people should support him in his future roles. Think about it: would this kind of hate be acceptable for any actor? No. Stop being childish and unreasonable. Liang Yong Qi is an *actor*, not a villain in real life.

If you watch him in *Perfect Match*, you’ll see the complete opposite of his character in *The Double.* In this drama, he plays a loving, respectful, and supportive husband—a stark contrast to the scumbag character he played before. Unlike other male leads or even the brothers-in-law in the story, his character never disrespects the female lead, cheats, abuses, or acts like a jerk. He genuinely cares for her and is always by her side.

So, instead of holding on to his previous role, judge him based on his current one. In *Perfect Match*, he truly shines as an amazing husband. Give him a chance, and you might just end up loving him for his versatility as an actor.

### **The Couples & Character Growth:**
One common pattern in the drama is that most male leads initially come off as jerks. But don't worry! Their so-called "jerk behavior" doesn’t last long—they quickly grow, understand their partners, and turn into great husbands and son-in-laws.

#### **1st Couple: Du Yang Xi & Shouhua**
This couple is absolutely sweet. At first, Du Yang Xi was disappointed because Shouhua’s family swapped brides at the last minute. He didn't even bother to look at Shouhua and ignored her. But once he realized she was the one who took care of him when he was unwell, guilt set in. From that moment, he started trusting her and trying to win her over. I especially loved how he affectionately called her "jiejie" to convince her—such a cute moment!

However, things take a turn when he has to divorce her, and for a while, he does act like a jerk. At that point, you might feel disappointed in him. But once his reasons are revealed, you’ll understand that he was actually protecting her. And when the misunderstandings clear up? Well, let’s just say even a proud scholar can end up on his knees for love!

#### **2nd Couple: Fu Hui & Fan Liang Han**
This couple is pure chaos! Their story starts after they are already married. Fan Liang Han, the male lead, is incredibly kind-hearted but also a bit naive. He often pities those in need, giving away money and even flirting with girls without thinking about the consequences. Naturally, this makes Fu Hui furious, and she often ends up feeling jealous and beating him up.

With the help of her sisters and mother, she gradually changes her husband. But despite his flaws, Fan Liang Han is truly a good person—especially when it comes to his in-laws. He is incredibly sweet to the Li family and is always ready to help, no matter the situation. His devotion to Fu Hui's family is admirable, and he even acts as a mediator between the Li family and their brothers-in-law. It’s hilarious how he constantly "betrays" his fellow brothers-in-law, always siding with his wife’s family! Also, he’s totally scared of Fu Hui and will kneel in a second if needed—such a funny yet lovable dynamic.

#### **3rd Couple: Master Chai & Kang Ning**
This couple is all about mind games and power struggles! They are both tricky and intelligent, constantly outsmarting each other. From the very beginning, Master Chai falls for Kang Ning due to her beauty and sharp personality, but they start off as rivals who seem to want to get rid of each other. However, deep down, they are actually quite fond of one another.

Their relationship is filled with misunderstandings, mostly caused by Master Chai’s mother, which creates a huge emotional distance between them. Despite this, he is always willing to protect Kang Ning and would do anything for her. Whenever her family tries to arrange another marriage for her, he immediately steps in and ruins the match!

The biggest twist comes when their misunderstandings finally clear up—but by then, it’s too late, as Kang Ning is about to marry someone else. Just when you think all hope is lost, Master Chai gets kidnapped and ends up married to Kang Ning instead! He is beyond thrilled that she became his wife, and from that moment on, he transforms into an extremely clingy husband and an affectionate son-in-law to the Li family.

#### **4th Couple: Shen & Haode**
This is one of my favorite couples! Their dynamic is the classic "cold husband vs. sweet, clingy wife" trope, where the female lead starts off in a one-sided love.

Shen, the male lead, initially has no interest in marriage or love due to a painful past. His parents, worried that he might never start a family, decide that any woman willing to stay with him—regardless of status—should be his wife. As a result, Haode is married to him without his consent. On their wedding night, he treats her coldly, leaving her heartbroken. Saddened by his rejection, she returns to her mother’s house. But with the support of her sisters and mother, she decides she won’t give up on him. And so, their love story truly begins.

A major turning point occurs when Shen loses his memory. Despite having the perfect opportunity to take advantage of the situation, Haode remains honest and tells him that he was never interested in her before. Touched by her sincerity, he starts to trust her, and their relationship slowly develops. Their romance is a slow burn, but it’s incredibly sweet to watch.

As time passes, Haode gradually melts his cold exterior, turning him into a devoted and protective husband. The best part is seeing how this once emotionally distant official transforms into a clingy husband—something that happens so naturally yet adorably.

Later, when Haode finds himself in a dangerous situation, Shen suddenly regains his memories. Overwhelmed with guilt and fear for her safety, he decides to divorce her to protect her. However, as soon as he tries to distance himself, he realizes he can't bear to let her go. Her sisters then come up with a plan to separate them for a while, making him fully acknowledge his feelings. Meanwhile, Haode also struggles to be apart from him.

Their story may not have huge misunderstandings, but its charm lies in how their love quietly yet powerfully grows. Their journey from a cold, reluctant husband to a deeply attached and loving one is absolutely heartwarming!

### **5th Couple: Leshan & Yang Xian**

This couple is pure comedy and chaos! Leshan, a pampered and carefree girl, meets her perfect match in Yang Xian, an arrogant and ignorant heir to his family's wealth. Their relationship starts off on the wrong foot—ML opposes FL’s family and mistreats them, but FL, never one to back down, publicly humiliates him in return. This sparks an ongoing grudge between them, with ML vowing to get back at her. However, despite his flaws, ML is not entirely bad, and he proves this when he steps in to save FL’s fourth sister and Shen, showing glimpses of his hidden kindness.

When FL is about to get married, ML, unwilling to let her go, hatches a ridiculous scheme—he arranges his own wedding on the same day and *even swaps the brides*! Chaos erupts, and after the unexpected turn of events, FL becomes his wife. But instead of being a helpless bride, she transforms into a fierce and dominant wife, ready to fight anyone who dares to cross her. The funniest part? ML *loves* it! He secretly admires her for her boldness and strength, finding himself drawn to her more and more.

However, ML’s family is against their marriage and constantly criticizes him. Surprisingly, the only person who stands by his side is FL. Seeing her unwavering support, ML slowly realizes his feelings for her. But FL isn’t ready to forgive him so easily—after all, he *did* kidnap her! To prove his sincerity, she sets three tests for him. ML successfully passes the first two, but before he can complete the third, his family collapses financially, leaving him poor.

FL’s mother and sisters refuse to let her suffer, but FL, having grown to care for ML, chooses to stay by his side. The once arrogant and ignorant ML humbles himself, working tirelessly to rebuild his life for her. Over the next three years, he transforms into a hardworking and responsible man, finally regaining his fortune.

When he returns to pursue FL, she remains cold toward him, refusing to let go of past misunderstandings. But ML is determined—he won’t give up on her. In a hilarious twist, FL, with the help of her brothers-in-law, turns the tables—this time, *ML gets kidnapped and locked in the bridal chamber*! Just like he once did to her! Seeing FL standing before him with her fierce, dominant aura, ML immediately kneels and apologizes, bringing laughter and joy to the entire Li family.

And with that, all five daughters of the Li family find their perfect matches, ending their journeys in love, laughter, and happily ever after!

### **The Li Sisters – A Bond of Love and Strength**
One of the most heartwarming aspects of this drama is the unbreakable bond between the Li sisters. They are always there for each other, offering unwavering support and standing together in times of trouble. There’s no jealousy, no betrayal—only love, care, and a deep sisterly connection that is truly admirable.

At the heart of this strong family dynamic is **Madam Li**, the greatest character in the drama. She single-handedly raised five daughters with wisdom, strength, and warmth, shaping them into virtuous and capable women. Whenever one sister faces a problem, the others immediately gather to strategize a solution, proving that no challenge is too big when they stand together.

Each sister has her own unique personality:
- **First daughter** – Virtuous, upright, and highly talented.
- **Second daughter** – Humble, proud, and kind-hearted.
- **Third daughter** – Smart, tricky, and never afraid to talk back when something seems unfair.
- **Fourth daughter** – Naïve, kind, and timid—easy to deal with, but not to be underestimated.
- **Fifth daughter** – Carefree, fierce, and bold, always ready to take on any challenge.

Despite their differences, all of them share a common trait: they are strong, righteous, and loyal. Watching their sisterhood in action is a delight, and their unity is something we all need in today’s world.

### **The Li Brothers-in-Law – A Hilarious Alliance**
Now, let’s talk about the **legendary** Li brothers-in-law! These men, despite being powerful and influential outside, have one rule inside the house: **always listen to their wives!** 😂

They even form an alliance called the *"Brother-in-Law Union,"* where every Li son-in-law must abide by a simple motto:
👉 *"If the wife is angry, the husband must coax her."*
👉 *"No matter how rich or powerful a man is outside, at home, the wife is the boss!"*

This brotherhood leads to some of the funniest moments in the drama! Whenever one of them is in trouble, they secretly band together to help without letting their wives find out. But if one sister is upset, all the husbands are thrown out of their rooms—no exceptions! 😂

One of the funniest scenes is when the fifth brother-in-law, Yang Xian, gets bullied by the other four because he *kidnapped* Leshan. They don’t let him off easily, making sure he suffers for what he did before finally accepting him into their alliance. The way they support each other (while also teasing and messing around) adds so much comedy and warmth to the show.

And let’s not forget—whenever a Li family member is in trouble, the sisters make the plans, and the husbands execute them! They might be powerful men outside, but at home, they are just lovable fools who cheer on their wives and help clean up their messes. 😂

---

### **Final Thoughts**
The Li family’s dynamic—both between the sisters and their husbands—is what makes this drama truly special. It’s not just about romance; it’s about **family, love, and unwavering support** in both good times and bad. Watching the sisters scheme, the husbands suffer (and love every second of it), and the entire family stand together makes this drama an absolute joy to watch!

Would definitely recommend this drama for its heartwarming family bonds and hilarious married life moments! ❤️✨

### **Final Thoughts – A Near-Perfect Drama!**

The **only** disappointment in this drama is that the ending felt a bit rushed. If they had extended it by a few more episodes, it could have been even better, allowing for a more satisfying wrap-up of each couple’s story. However, if it had dragged on too much, it might have lost its charm—so I guess it’s a tricky balance!

**Aside from that, this drama is an absolute gem!** It’s a delightful and heartwarming family drama, filled with love, humor, and beautifully developed relationships. The strong family bonds, the hilarious brother-in-law alliance, and the slow-burn yet rewarding romances make it truly enjoyable.

I really hope this drama gets more recognition because it’s seriously **underrated**! It deserves **higher ratings** and **more views**—a drama this good should not go unnoticed. If you love stories that balance romance, comedy, and family warmth, **this is definitely worth watching!** ❤️✨
