I didn't mind her performance in Gu Family Book (I had bigger problem, when I found out the ML thinks her to be a boy. Her being a girl was so obvious I completely missed it fooled anyone.). But sometimes I even skip dramas with actors I like, because I see her performance in promos and it discourages me. 😕

I'd like to ask. I plan to watch Ancient Love Poetry. But I watched 2 episodes and... Zhao Lu Si is Zhao Lu Si. Will this be a problem if I watch this one first? Like spoilers for Ancient Love Poetry or missing info for The Last Immortal?

The way I see it, her character was shaped a lot by the fact she witnessed the slaughter of her entire family at a very early age. Then she grew up in wilderness virtually alone with occasional visits of a man who wanted her to become his weapon. But after the almost death, she woke up with no memories. They told her she was loved, got lost and suffered, but then was found and would again be with the family, loved. The method was not exactly warm, but it came from love. Where would such personality come from?
