Actually the ending for the original novel wasn't written by the author. It was written someone who read the book. The author never ended the novel so the ending of this drama is what she pictured the ending as.

I feel like the chemistry between the two is pretty good. There are some misunderstandings, but they are usually resolved within an episode or two. Around 20ish episodes, it gets a little bit sad. There are no long breakups though and the couple trusts each other. They still get a little bit jealous, but they are usually looking out for each other. The last few episodes made me cry, but I'm a pretty easy crier.

Title Legend of Yun Xi Spoiler
can someone please describe the ending? what exactly happen at the end? ,,,, i don't mind spoiler, trying to decide…
Basically, YunXi sacrificed herself to save FeiYe since blood from her heart is one of the ingredients for the medication. When she stabbed herself in the heart we see the bracelet glowing, which may mean that the bracelet saved her. When the second male lead fainted, you see someone take the bracelet. This may be another sign that YunXi lived. Some Chinese fans think it is actually YunXi's mom who took it to save YunXi since she looks nothing like YunXi. In the end scene, you see FeiYe visit their home and reminisce about the time he spent with YunXi then YunXi suddenly appears. This is the part that makes it super open. This could either be the male lead's imagination or she could really lived. Chinese fans speculate that the scene with her hands may mean that her spirit was put into the bracelet and someone saved her by putting her spirit back into her body. By doing so, the bracelet was destroyed. I'm just going to assume that it is a happy ending since I don't like sad ones. The ending may also be in preparation second season since the ending was abrupt. The actually novel that they got the idea from is also still being written so they may decide to film a sequel. It's a pretty good series though. I recommend you watch it if you can. I think the chemistry between the male and female lead is pretty good.

They release all ep at once??? omg lmao is this NORMAL? but im not complaining... at least the waiting for subs…
The ending is very open to interpretation. You could see it as a happy or sad ending. They might have done it that way on purpose or it might just be the weird cut on iQiyi. I interpreted it as a HE since I really hate bad endings. It honestly can go either way, though. I'm hoping the youtube version has deleted scenes that we haven't seen before since it is different from the iQiyi version.

I don't think it's airing on TV broadcast right now. Some dramas they just put straight on the internet that's why I was confused as to why the videos were so different. The ending is literally so weird. Nothing was explained. Overall it was a good series, but I think the ending was really unsatisfying,
