My question to the novel readers,What's that deal with the 22 lovers?Did she really had 22 lovers or did she just…
She's a woman so it's ok, God forbid if roles were reversed 😂

Definitely took me off guard as well so out of place and came out of nowhere I assumed she was lying too

Enjoyable watch so far but doesn't feel at all like they have mutual crushes the story and interactions all play out as if they're strangers and its just standard lawyer x client drama where ML constantly pursuing despite FL attempts to thwart. Its fine if they want to do this pretending strangers thing for an episode or two but if most of the drama is like this then what is the point of them not actually being strangers if the actual interesting parts of the plot are not utilized at all. So much fun potential with that plot of mutual secret crush working with a book about the crush but nothing is really done with it. Liu Mao is great my favorite part about the drama by far, really enjoy his scenes.

Title How Dare You!? Spoiler
Comedy and actors are great but gets dragged down by convoluted incoherent drama.

Three transmigrators with modern knowledge plus knowledge of all characters and events, the most powerful fighter with crazy powers AND GUNS and this is how it's playing out? Really?

Like the mausoleum scene you know everyone's plan yet do nothing to plan to counter them and walk into their trap with no plan idk maybe just hide in the underground palace that you know is there too but don't take advantage of and let bei deal with everyone no??

Everything plays out as if this isn't a transmigrator story, rather it was just lazily and haphazardly slapped on a normal palace drama that was already in the works for more consumer appeal

Side characters are just there to make for shallow sob story drama no matter how little they're even in the story just going to kill them off because of this death/tragedy = good writing the show seems to have.

Infinite chances to kill this random 2d duan guy but no can't kill him who knows what would happen killing a main story character oh but just gonna kill off the female main lead(of the novel) for no reason I guess nothing happens and they're just 2d characters that don't matter at all after all, just suppose to forget about that being a thing?

Wouldn't be surprised if everyone dies and it just goes back to the real world in the last 2 minutes where FL comes across all the versions of people in the story in her world and none of what happened actually mattered at all even after this idea in the air they keep pushing are they just 2d characters that don't matter or real and meaningful

Also good Lord these secret guards are more useless than the standard guards and even bei is so incredibly easily dealt with its infuriating feel like I'm being gas lit telling me this guy is the strongest showcasing all these abilities that he magically never has when duan does anything

It's like subverting everything that's fun about a transmigrator story to make it miserable and meaningless. Continuing to watch hoping I'm proved wrong the comedy and actors are so good but it's got all the bad signs and plot holes pointing to a horrendous rushed ending I just wanna enjoy what it could be so bad.

Title Love between Lines Spoiler
Very enjoyable but the B plot brought the drama down to a low point that never really recovered for me.

I don't see how a character like the husband portrayed as he was would act as he did and for their relationship to go the way it did. How does a guy literally killing himself working solely for the financial freedom of his wife forget their anniversary?

Clearly portrayed as very hard working and dedicated to their marriage working so hard strictly for their financial freedom as there is no indication of greed for money, higher status, obsession with his work (as in he enjoys work more than anything, not that he doesn't work a lot) or interest in other women.

He never cheated if he did it would've been shown and it makes no sense why they didn't explicitly show what actually happened either. Seems like even they knew if they explicitly showed that it would've made the husband too sympathetic for what happens to happen. It seemed pretty clear to me he was focused on the big goal of financial freedom, all of it being for his wife, and in tunnel visioning on it as well as over exertion and stress makes a bad decision of hiding one thing which led to hiding others although bad but none of which seem worthy of ending a marriage between two people shown to be that close and what seems like a lengthy relationship even before marriage.

I may have missed something but I still don't think a plot like that belongs here as it heavily outweighs on a scale the negative things to positive things in the otherwise fun story overall imo.

Also her story is barely focused on and shallow enough but then for whatever reason they decided to match her up with ML friend when they have almost no chemistry or interactions before the forced ones after divorce is crazy. Not to mention he has no solo focus either, it's just such a bizarre decision. Could've at least been matched up with Pei Zhen, so obvious wouldve been so much better cmon they did him dirty

Every character is more of a ML than the ML no screentime at all. Actually background character level of engagement maybe that's why it's so boring too
