Very Inconsistent acting by the female lead.. She has an undeniable charm but something's missing in the acting…
inconsistent in what way? she's doing a pretty good job considering how we can easily tell what she's thinking/feeling just by looking at her many facial expressions.
cant believe writer made his character shot her -__- and ON THE CHEST! not even for hurt but kill! what if that…
yeah i was pretty shocked and angry too! but then kang chul said he already had a feeling yeon joo wasn't from his world so the bullet would have no effect on her. but still :(
I've been thinking of watching this drama because of Ji Chang Wook... does the main girl end up with his character?
ji chang wook was superb in this, i'd say it's his best work thus far because of the complexity of his character.
as for the ending, (if you don't mind spoilers) she technically does end up with his character because she becomes the empress. her character learns to love ji chang wook's character over time but she still has lingering feelings for joo jin mo's character so it ends up being a love triangle where she's basically stuck in the middle, just like how she 's "torn between the two countries."
Perfect 10 to me, best 50 episodes I have watched without any second skip. The only little problem that I have…
this drama would've been perfect if they had cast a different actress for boon yi. shin se kyung's acting was too bland and it didn't match the spunk the child actress had for little boon yi
How heavily does it focus on romance and does this have a really bad love triangle (as in there is no obvious…
although romance isn't the main focus like your typical kdrama, it does have much more romance compared to other historical dramas so you can expect a lot of it
i'm not sure if i'd classify it as a bad love triangle but at one point, it felt like there was no obvious male lead (with good reasoning). the drama is named empress ki for a reason but she didn't really "choose" anyone because she ended up having feelings for both of them
I really need to come back to this drama but when they killed Gil Tae Mi, I completely deflated like a balloon.…
female leads are usually my favorites but i probably wouldn't mind if they killed off boon yi lol ssk just ruins everything for me. but you should def pick it back up because it only gets better from there! every time gil sun mi shows up, you can't help but miss and think about gil tae mi ;_;
