For those who read the novel, is it worth it to read after watching this? Also how different is it from the drama??
It's quite different, especially the second half. I think it's worth reading the novel.

the guy in that waterfall scene is played by "Xu Hai Qiao"
The water demon is "Tim Yu" apparently

It's ok XD you're probably not the only one who got confused. How they decided to insert that scene was jarring. I know who they are supposed to be so that probably helped.

no, these are different characters
but I can see why this can be confusing... they chose to insert these two suddenly in the middle of the water demon story XD
