Is the rating this low because the story isn't great or because of the bad subs?
The rating is low because only 20 people have rated. I've started watching this and it's pretty good. Many people are complaining about the subs, so I guess that's why there are so few people watching it.

Hidden gem of Bromance detective themed drama

It literally dropped out of nowhere with not much promotion for it on IQIYI but it was a pleasant surprise because we were in a very bad mood after the Outrageous Censoring that happened to Youku's bromance drama (The Way Home ) after it already aired.
I wasn't expecting much as I know China comes heavy on Bromance dramas by Censoring them and How I Was Wrong with this one ,,
IQIYI platform released half of the drama's episodes on the first day of its release,, 8 Episodes on the first day for VIP members, and the second day Three episode ,,, the drama was complete in only four days LOL
And the Bromance was Bromancing so strong
For example, the second male lead kept finding excuses to become the male lead's best friend and when the male lead went into a Coma, the second male lead literally broke down sitting on his bed and didn't leave him for one second and the female lead was standing there watching their bromance Blooming LOL
The second male lead kept hugging the male lead catching him every time he fell ill and sometimes faced danger for the male lead and tried to help him despite his lack of smartness or fighting skills
The female lead was there for Censorship's sake only
She was literally standing watching the male lead as she likes him getting all the care and love from his best friend

This drama also has a good detective story and the cases were really weird and complicated,, it wasn't Cliche detective drama or just bromance for the bromance's sake No, it was deep and meaningful

The Only downside of that Haste release of the drama like it was Hot Nuclear Weapon is its Subtitles which were AI-generated translations and it wasn't very good

Another thing, sometimes I felt the acting skills of the second male lead weren't as good as the male lead's acting skills
I really Thank IQIYI for its full release of the drama before BL fans make edits that attract Censoring police to come down on it
I hope to see sa econd season of this drama as it was hinted in the finale that there is a second season and I really hope that IQIYI takes all the Bromance dramas of China on its platform

10/10 because it deserves it. Finally again a well made bromance.
Yes, the subs suck big time, but I pulled through and I get the plot and all. I doubt it will ever get a good sub.
Also sad it has only 16 episodes. The relationship between the ML was nice too watch. The plot was thrilling, because it was somehow always connected to the mysterious backstory of Shen Song.
It was funny, witty, and kind of bloody. Totally liked it.
I think the low is rating, is really only because of the bad subtitles….and that is really a shame.

It's really a pleasure to the eyes to see a properly done Tang dynasty drama. I feel this era is rarely being exploited in C-dramas.
I don't understand the low ranking, until now is 10/10 gem of a production.
Does anyone know if this is supposed to have 2 seasons? Because if that's the case 2nd season will show up in one year later. According to Chinese regulations they cannot show 2 seasons of a drama back to back. That's what happened with "Lost you forever" too, and everyone had to wait for one more year to see the finale.🥲

Yeah, its like people are romanticizing it. I didn't expect people to nitpick that. Its perfectly normal for some people with imperfect hearing not to use/know sign language. Its usually the last resort for anyone and that is in the worst case scenario. Also, the boy can speak, where will he use the sign language he learnt on? He just needs to understand what you are saying to him since he can already speak. Losing your hearing doesn't automatically mean you can't speak.

He can hear partially. Didn't you see he has hearing aids? There is different levels of deafness. You can be deaf on one side, which is partially deaf, or completely deaf. However, in this case, the boy can still interpret sound and speech. Its not exactly a normal hearing because he may struggle in a noisy environment. That is why you see his mother maintaining a eye contact because it is easier for him to interpret speech that way. I believe that is cochlear implant. So he is not completely deaf and doesn't exactly need sign language since he can speak. He can get his point across. How exactly would sign language help?

People these days have a weird obsession with sign language in dramas

No, but sadly that's an unfortunate problem in asian families. They are so hellbent on making their disabled kids be "normal" that they forget they PHYSICALLY ARENT. Diabled people ARE normal, but not the way you think...but who will explain that to them?

7.8 rating while only 2 episodes are out?

MDL should disable ratings for a drama that does not have more than a certain episodes out because there is no way you can judge and give a low rating to an ongoing drama that just came out. What a joke

Title Doubt
One of the best dramas of 2024 and a good psychological mystery drama from K-drama land. But it definitely needed the big twist in episode 10. It would not be a surprise if Han Seok Kyu wins the MBC Daesang and is nominated for the Baeksang Arts Awards, other cast members include Chae Won Bin played her role well. The BGM of this drama really enhanced and was completely in sync with every scene and emotion.

As mentioned by others, the drama leaves some plot holes and unanswered questions at the end, mainly Ha-jun's death.

The rating of the last episode of Doubt is 9.6%. It definitely turns out to be the big hit of the year for MBC in terms of genre.
