Imo she just doesn't fit in for the image of the group that slowly built up through the show. Which is a more…
I do agree. However at the start it wasn't clear what type of group they were "going for", but that has slowly become clearer and clearer towards the end as you said. I just liked her voice and attitude a lot. There are still contestants that I do like left so I am very curious as to what the final group composition will be.
Finally got to watch episodes 7 through 10, and I have to say I'm a bit salty. I really wish Lee Arumsol wasn't eliminated. She was my favourite. However I will still watch the finals.
I have only see the performences and not the full episode. But i was a bit dissapointed.I could see the gap between…
True that. I don't really follow a lot of k-pop groups, so I don't really know how saturated the market is. But I do imagine that they would need to have something special that makes them stand out among the crowd.

It's okay to disagree, music is one of those things that are subjective.
I would just like to add that alot of my comments regarding the different groups aren't just about the teamwork on stage, but how they seemed to work together off stage during the preparation for the performance. And that did have a lot of impact on my enjoyment of each performance.
I would rather have a winning team that seems to work well together and who seemingly get along, than a team were there are obvious tensions. Which is one of the reasons I liked most of the groups in this episode, including the five-member group. I also liked the slow ballad they did and the harmonies. Were there members of that group that had weaker emotions, yes, but that wasn't the point of my comment. When I said that I wouldn't mind a group like the five-member group, I wasn't saying that I wanted them to be the winning team. I was saying that I wouldn't mind a winning group that did slow ballads like that and with that type of harmonisation. Or for the last group, a winning team that did something similar to that performance, but where all the members get to shine.
A lot of great performances in episode 4. For the first time I actually wrote down some notes.
Kim Hana vs Kwon Lily - While preparing for the performance they seemed to get along and worked together well. I felt the performance was good enough considering they were only to people on stage. Of their voices I think I prefer Kim Hana's voice, but their voices worked well together overall.
Yoon Minseo vs Janet Suhh - Where should I begin. Barely any teamwork. I completely understand why Yoon Minseo started crying afterwards even though she was chosen to go through to the next round. She performed with Janet Suhh as best as she could. And I also do feel for Janet Suhh, but practising alone for what seems to be a large part of their preparation time hurt the performance more.
Kim Damyeong vs Ji Yueun vs Hwang Seyeong - Oh, I really liked this group. The arrangement of the song might not be my cup of tea, but I do feel like they executed it well. Worked well together vocally. In this one I liked Hwang Seyeong's voice the most.
Lee Arumsoul vs Lim Okyeon - Another great team-up. And kudos to Lim Okyeon for having to spend a day practising by herself and making the most out of it, because Lee Arumsoul was doing a musical. The performance itself was epic. Their vocals through the roof. Especially Lee Arumsoul. I do hope that Lim Okyeon gets saved during the eliminations because I love her energy.
Kim Hanbyeol vs Lee Nayeong vs nov vs Cho Yein vs Son Yeongseo - THIS is a type of group that I wouldn't mind if we got out of Girls on Fire. Great teamwork, great harmonies, just phenomenal!
Kang Yunjeong vs Park Seojeong vs Cho Sumin - And THIS is also a type of group I wouldn't mind if we ended up with. The performance was epic. I love the way they worked to eachothers strengths. I think in this one Kang Yunjeong and Cho Sumin "shone" the most, but Park Seojeong did her part well and her voice is really nice. However in this one I liked Cho Sumin the most, but I also liked Kang Yunjeong so I hope Cho Sumin also gets saved during eliminations.
Oh, I am so happy that Lee Arumsoul was saved! I really liked her performance. Now they are 32 contestants and in round two their groups were decided by the seating arrangement in the bus. That was a twist!
I really liked the "Die Alone"-team's performance, because it felt like they actually worked together as a team compared to the "Refusal"-team. And the performance was fire!
I am not saying that the "Refusal"-team didn't work together, however it did seem like there was a bit more of an individual-mentality and not a team-mentality. What stood out to me was that when it was suggested that the other members add some vocals while RETA rapped and she instantly said no. It did seem like she wanted the focus to be on just her while she rapped. Which is understandable, but I do think some vocal adlibs, or something like that, could have made the rap sound like it belonged more in the song, and it would have also given the other members something to do. And even if the added vocals had made that section seem loud they could have adjusted the vocals.
Either way, the first two performances of round two make me look forward to the rest of the perfomances.
Enjoyed the performances in episode 2 as well, but that preview for the next round... There seems to be D-R-A-M-A incoming. I guess when all of them really want to get through, and with such stark contrasts in personalities, there's bound to be some clashes. I just hope that there won't be too many conflicts.
And I also hope we'll see how the elimination process works. I think everyone that didn't get through in the first round are up for elimination, as in they're not immediately eliminated. It would be a bit weird for them to go from 50 to 25 in the first 2 episodes.
I really love the variety of the contestants' voices, the different personalities and attitudes. It makes me very curious about the rest of the auditions. I already have a couple artists that I really enjoyed the performance of so this is looking good.
I didn't really like the song the Partners team got. I wish they could have gotten a better song, or at least…
True! The final is too far away (╥_╥) I really do hope that the "right" songs are chosen for or by each team so that there won't be too much discourse after the final^^
I didn't really like the song the Partners team got. I wish they could have gotten a better song, or at least…
I wonder the same thing. The song selection itself was weird. It is very difficult to tell what type of group Mnet wants to make in the first place. Would it have been bad if everyone got the same song? It probably wouldn't have been as entertaining, but at least that would have been somewhat fair overall. But all we can do now is wait for the final ^^
HunMinJayBit was my favorite performance of the semifinals, so it makes perfect sense for me they got first place.…
I didn't really like the song the Partners team got. I wish they could have gotten a better song, or at least a song that felt less "disjointed" as you said.
I really thought they would change the lineup for the final, but it doesn't seem to be the case. It feels like a waste when they could have tried out a couple different group formations before deciding on the final groups. Don't get me wrong the current lineup works, but it would have been nice to see more variation.
