She may be more attractive, but she's a horrible human being. She treats her staff like garbage. She's cruel, petulant, spoiled...basically wicked. In her current state, there's no way she would be someone her husband would be attracted to. Ra El, on the other hand, is showing herself to the ML as caring & compassionate (it's partly an act but the "character" that she is showing him is attractive).

If they wanted to make a drama about the effects of unrelenting, unresolved & endless guilt, they've succeeded. The FL is almost lifeless at times. JY is ultimately responsible for drinking and snowboarding. Maybe this is moving toward showing the power of forgiveness at a later date should JY forgive taeyang. Otherwise, these two women seem like they will remain stuck in guilt, remorse, regret, and the past. All of Taeyang's sadness and crying is overwhelming what should be a fun romance between her and Taejun and the excitement and joy of being top athletes.
