Thank you for your thoughtful response. I can tell you enjoyed this immensely. Perhaps I will rewatch this at some point, especially with how much I enjoy Zhao Lu Si. That said, I don't particularly like the "dream within reality" genre. I find them to be frustrating and dissatisfying. Sure, we know the lessons the female lead learns. But what about the male lead? How much of this did he actually remember? How will it inform his actions in the future? For that matter, how does the dreamscape change the main female leads future actions in reality? I need more than a five minute "oh my goodness, they recognize each other" moment. I would have liked at least a ten minute epilogue showing how this dream, and the lessons they learned, play out in reality. Some people enjoy imagining it, but I would have like to have seen it on the screen. Lost Romance is one that actually plays out the "outside the dream" repercussions. We see how the dreamscape effected the characters choices in reality.
