This was asked in BWS'a interview...A top star like Sunjae, marrying at the height of his popularity, can he surive…
Perhaps, not to the extent he did prior marriage. However, if Sun Jae had to choose he would rather be a content "baeksu", married and happily living with Sol than be the hottest star living without her. To him, it's important to be at the top ONLY if Sol wants it. But I would also like to draw attention to LBY and Ji Sung, both are killing it even though they are married to each other for years. *touchwood*
I’d say that in terms of production, QoT is far superior. QoT is the type of drama you’re supposed to take…
I get your point. I, personally, enjoyed LR to bits because of how reminiscent it was of SOOD in terms of the overall tone. The KDrama remake was atrocious in my honest opinion. While SOOD is miles better than LR, I love both and plan to re-watch both when time allows.

Hello! I think I didn't put it quite clearly. I love serious dramas as well. However, I felt that QOT was serious only because the script said so. I don't mean to invalidate your opinion, however, I disagree that serious dramas cannot be universally engaging because of how dry they can be. To put things into perspective, I want to mention how much I loved this really old KDrama, "Mask" to the extent that I rewatch it sometimes. It had many of the ingredients that QOT has... Also, I don't think that death and a failed marriage in a melodrama is bound to be almost too much and too dramatic. I am here for the drama providing that it entertains me.
You can rate whichever way you want. At the end of the day, how you felt while watching it matters. It's alright…
Well... I have not gone through the reviews, only the comments... The comment I am referring to is many days old. I think it was in reference to E12... It depends on what exchanges were made throughout the entire thread. However, if indeed that reviewer has been called names without provocation, then it's quite unfortunate.

True. However, in my experience, someone had written here why the drama didn't work for them and all the flaws it had. There was no hate from the fans. I, myself, had a lovely conversation with that MDL user.

It was drowning in its seriousness. To the extent that it was so self aware that it was painful. I love serious, all doom and gloom dramas, but QOT wasn't it.
Since I was in kdrama twitter (both domestic and global due to algorithm) for the duration of both QOT and LR,…
For me, it's okay to leave my logical reasoning behind for a show. I have enjoyed many a trashy show. But, the show should be able to entertain me despite its lack of logic. QOT failed to do for me.

I loved KSH's performance in IOTBNO, and this show is still a favourite. QOT didn't do any of the genres it dabbled in right. I have loved, and yes, re-watched melodramatic shows. QOT failed miserably in its execution of familiar tropes.

Actually, no fan is attacking anyone for their negative comments or reviews. Only when someone tries to bash a fan for liking the show, then do most fans clap back. At the end of the day, we are entitled to liking whatever we want within obviously the limits of basic decency and reason, and however subpar the content might be. But, issues arise when those who didn't enjoy the show try to police those who did.
i don’t know how to rate this.. pls I don’t want any hate but between Sol being annoying, and her crying fits…
You can rate whichever way you want. At the end of the day, how you felt while watching it matters. It's alright if you didn't enjoy something that a lot of other people did. It happens. I didn't enjoy many that on MDL are top-rated shows. Relax.
How does this compare with Queen of tears? That Drama Was a big disappointment for me and Is still rated highly…
I know exactly what you mean... I have disliked wildly popular shows, including QOT, with a passion. Not throwing shade at anybody who did. Different strokes for different folks. I suggest you watch the first 2-4 episodes. If you don't care by then, perhaps, LR is not to your taste. Go in keeping your expectations low.
