I understand that in theory parents shouldn't be complaining about taking care of their children or that they have the responsibility to take care of their children. That is correct. However, I believe in reality, this is not what is necessarily happening, especially if it involves divorced parents who have children before and after divorce. Looking at a possible perspective of a divorced parent, he or she may think their main priority now is to take care of those children they have with their new partners. I am not saying this is right but if this what they have in mind, of course the children from the previous marriage would always be set aside. Again, while I firmly believe this is wrong, divorced parents who now have new children may jot be thinking the same thing.

We could all have our own positions about the matter but the fact is these kinds of parents would always have different perspectives from us. I am not saying this is correct or even acceptable, but it is happening.

I think she means she already struggles with two children. Adding one more is just too much that she may not be able to take care of them three children at all.

The original manga has always been my favorite BL manga overall and while the movie didn't capture me, I really hope this drama could let me feel the magic I felt when I first read the manga. I could even see some tweaks they made in the drama and I could say it feels they are heading the right way. Fingers crossed!

I’m so pathetic I nearly ugly cried when Tian and Jiu reunited even for such s brief moment in time. It was so beautiful.

Sometimes I feel like some of the audience of the show forget that there is a complexity that make these characters human. I think this makes a villain more effective: because we know she’s not a k!lling machine who just mvrders nonsensically.

No one is saying that Madam Li should be excused for the crimes she committed. But she is written to be a human who succumbed to her fears, hence all the wrongdoings she did. She is a criminal in my eyes too but I think the drama did an exceptional job on making sure that all her actions are based on her ultimate goal: to protect Tian. But I guess some audience may need to outgrow their self-righteousness first before Madam Li’s actions would make sense to them.

And I’ll reiterate someone’s comment about how Li is more hated that Chan. It’s because the former actually produced results when she committed crimes. The latter just kept failing since that attempt to kill Tian with a snake.

Tbh I’m enjoying the fact that the shaw keeps throwing me in a curveball lol but this isn’t stopping me from speculating what’s gon happen next. I think this will end either with Tian and Jiu together happily or them not together, with Tian being the biggest casualty of what’s to come.

Here’s a tip when watching lakorn: always remember that the plot would not just want the viewers to have their way throughout the show. That’s the main difference between lakorn and the usual BL series that we are so used to. BL series rely on fanservices of all kind to make viewers stick longer. Lakorns and most hardcore drama in general pull all the strings they have up their sleeves to make you wonder what’s gonna happen next, so you would subconsciously want to watch the next episode.

You may be frustrated now but I think the director’s technique worked so well, regardless whether you would rewatch or not or whether you think this is a love story or not.

Same! My heart really went for Jiu and Tian. It felt sad and somehow it’s even frustrating that we are just as hopeless as they are. The hopelessness this episode is the most heart-wrenching for me. Scary as well, as hopeless people may have in mind that they got nothing else to lose.

This is definitely what I think happened and I understand Jiu… but it’s impossible not to side with Tian. I’m always siding with Tian tbh lol.

To be fair, those people talking about the “secret” always talk about it loudly. I’m surprised they managed to keep Tian’s secret for 12 years with how indiscreet they are lmao.

I rewatched the most important scenes from last night’s episode and seemingly simple scenes really do stand out when you have competent actors playing the roles right. The last time I have been so satisfied with the performance of actors was during Bad Buddy so I am more than thrilled that Khun Chai’s actors are all competent.

I think someone explained already that 17 is the most plausible number of episodes because there would be another show that would be taking this show’s timeslot.

Episode 11 would have not been this grand had they not built the story up to this moment from the pilot. It was so good and this would have not been this good had they gone for a typical BL drama format.

No one knows yet. Afaik this is an original story so we need to wait til the end to know what’s gonna happen.
