Okay, my honest opinion — I loved how well-fleshed this show was. Not boring for even a second. And the comedy? Absolute chef’s kiss. 😂 Plus the cooking scenes… they make me hungry every single time.
I’ve seen a lot of dramas with Shin Hae Sun and wow… she’s just on another level. The way she carried this role — the expressions, the timing, everything — seriously incredible actress.
It has a really similar premise — modern girl accidentally ends up in the past, and has to figure out her life there. Same mix of romance + historical drama, just set in Europe instead of Korea.
And it seemed really interesting!!! So just thought of sharing. Cause who doesn’t love more time-travel + historic romance content haha.
I’m currently on episode 6 and I honestly love it so far — the whole female lead going back in time and just being absolute chaos and modern is hilarious.
But the king… ugh. Like he is acting amazing! And I get that in the past this was normal, but I really don’t like how much power men have in these settings. The way they can just favor someone and discard them whenever. No wonder women like the 4th consort, Kang Mok Ju, keep competing. She’s not doing it for love — she’s doing it to survive in a world that’s so unfavorable to her.

I agree with your review so much. I still don't understand why anyone could like this drama. Tragedy doesn't mean it will be a bad drama. I loved 'Queen for Seven Days' or 'Ashes of love', but this drama was seriously messed up. I just can't understand how the main leads fall in love again. There was no levels of development in their love story in the after losing their memories part. Also, they got back their memories at the very end. I mean... WHY?
Your review is sooooo amazing! The checklist that you created was amazing. Even i am a romance drama fangirl! I loved your review so much. Where did you see this drama? On which site?
Any one who is questionning themselves about seeing this drama or not follow my advice! Go and click on the first episode and just start watching it, as it is amazing! Any new kdrama fan should definitely see this as it is amazing! I feel extremely sad that it has ended ... but this drama was superb! It was very well executed and the actors did an incredible job! The story was very cute! It was not very melodramatic or thriller but just perfect! A complete mix of romance + comedy + story + melodrama + friendship + ...! I just cannot end this list! It was awesome.... Go and see it as it is so worth it!
Precaution: If you have exams approaching or some important work, Be cautious as once you start seeing it, you won't be able to stop...
