Or maybe I'm just picky..? Cause I've encountered popular/big production but the leads just didn't draw me in. Then those with actors that charm me, but the production is low budget. This good combination doesn't come often esp. in romance genre because no matter how good looking the cp is, its rare for me to feel chemistry like we have here with WuLu.

While most are enjoying the 'like mother like daughter' scene, I'm here sideeyeing YY. Its probably her pride with the Cheng fam being humiliated that made her do that, not just 100% for SS.
Or maybe thats just me. I'm the type to stop seeing the good in someone after the 2nd time, and start seeing them for who they are.

Anyways, the last scene, that shot with ZJ's face was good. The blood spatter, then to dripping from first point, to the middle and the lowest before eventually going down... My english is bad but that shot was good. Even the blood was acting. lol But I really hope she grows from this experience and graduate from the brat that she once was.

I guess SS witnessing that will be a factor of her breaking LY's heart and letting go of him.

Also, I wanted to see more punishment with the 2 prisoners, esp. the prince. But I guess that won't pass censorship. hehe

20/27 WL was so good at the prison scene, esp. the part when he bend down to 'check' the other person. There were no words, no sound effects, no bgm, only complete and utter silence..
It was quite eerie...
He is scary and ruthless, and I like it.

I've never felt this acting from his previous drama. Though I've only seen one (not counting NIF). Anyways, I'm starting to get all the praises.

He knows what he is doing. SS is stubborn so if 1 and 2 doesn't work, 3 is there to make sure she'll go see him. hehe

I really hope she will start to appreciate him after the experience of being with the prince.

She seems to be strong, so it'd be nice to see her use that in a good way.

But what SS said is true though. She'll only be breaking the engagement and can still find someone else, but he'll be forced into a marriage he doesn't want. Its not her whose gonna have it hard, its LY.

The 'SS walking away' scene, I noticed when she left, BY gave his permission for her to go. So it wasn't as sad to me, just mellow. But the 'BY walking away' scene in the future eps, I'm pretty sure SS held onto him.. That one will be sad because iirc, I think he swatted her hand away.. Ugh, the pain~

My fave ZLS cp to date is HaoYan, he too was a military/commander type. But BY is different because he is unstable (though they probably toned it down in the drama or else they wouldn't have gotten their license). lol

I think SS and LY's relationship is also realistic. A lot of women chose the one that loves them (will always choose them) than the guy that they love (with other priorities). At the same time, women don't always end up with their first relationship.

Yes, his ex-fiance from the lantern festival. That's why LY fell hard for SS too because she was also the first person other than his brother to be kind to him and appreciate him. Hence why SS said they are alike.

Maybe being around the same age makes it more comfortable.
Yeah, and it'd be nice if they are in the same place. But that's highly unlikely.

I've lowered my expectations now when it come to promos. If there's some, good, if none, still okay as long as MRFTS airs this summer.

BY has military mindset. He is first and foremost controlling. Remember when he told SS to change clothes, she said she'll wait for LY, but he insisted she changed that moment. Some might not see that as much but that shows he does not take 'no' for an answer. He could've respected her decision and accompany her while waiting, but nope, his words are final.

And in the teaser, he stopped SS from eating when she was still hungry. He controls that too, which is a red flag to her since she grew up starved.
He also isn't good with communicating. No matter how nice he is too her, he isn't clear with his intentions. We're seeing BY in an audience's pov. But SS had to gauge him everytime.

Right now, SS is in a puppy love with LY. Its not deep but one can see why she likes him. He was the first person who isn't related to her that showed her pure kindness and appreciation. They were also together for months and got along really well. She was well fed too. So its normal for her to think life with him will be just fine. Which is more than enough from the life she had lived so far.

Both SS and BY grew up on different environments that affected them. And they have some growing up to do and getting to know each other before its believable that they are deep in love to the point that we saw in the teaser.

Looking forward to see SS from being scared to falling for him. And BY who already likes her, on how he will change to express his feelings.
