I know, I agree. I watch a lot of C-dramas, especially costume dramas. Almost all of the good ones still do something stupid to some extent (like jumping off a cliff — I can’t remember a single one that doesn’t do this — or random memory loss, or having no sense of time, distance, or how far places are). But this one is just next-level stupid. Nothing in it makes sense.
Chinese drama writers are getting addicted to memory-loss plots, and this one has two. The story is just as good as It Villain, but this one has just a… hole villain. The fight scenes and the male lead are good, though, but the story is just bugging me too much.
Ther is over a billion Chinese but why even one off them interested in subbibg chinese drama. Seriously!! I pay for a platform to do that. This language is realy hard i never be able to learn it.

you already in war . you faking a rebellion. there is no way around this you just have to kill him and then the war will be very easy to win since that army is likely a mercenary and you can buy them. and the show won't suggest anything of that reason more likely it suggest that the emperor afraid and incapable of killing him. he wants to poison him in his house there is no excuse to not just kill him right there. but if you kill him there will be no show anymore and that's the problem with most Chinese show they lake reason. i like this show because of the main lead but the plot it getting to my nerves.
