I tried TTBY after about 5 mins into tge first ep I dropped it and never looked back. Oddly enough I watched playful kiss multiple times and it was terrible, very terrible but I stuck around anyway, I have no real explanation. My experience was the same qith BOF. I wished they had focused more on Kim So Eun and Kim Bum 's arc. But I totally agree with everything else uve said. No amount of hype can get me 2 watch Heirs ..NOPE

I love love love this drama. Its one of my favorite genres and the cast is great. Everybody can act, and does their job well. The story telling is also really good, music everything. Loved it and im so sad its over now

I loveeee this article. I started out with Kdramas but they can get a bit ...hmmmm ... boring, formulaic ,unrealistic, crazy. When I started J dramas and it was a breath of fresh air. I never know what to expect with a J drama and I love that. And the enormous range in well produced, well written and well acted dramas, that span loads of different genres is awesome when u have drama burnout. Also the relatively short epsiode and series lengths are a total plus. An average 10-11 eps at about 45 mins each YATAYYYY!!!a marathoners DREAMMMM.
Quirky, mysterious, action packed I dig it all (well most)and I totally dig this article.

-Favourite character died or no longer existed in the remaining episodes I tend to choose dramas based on actors.…
As a kdrama lover I agree with you. I like J dramas too. When i watch them I never feel like I know whats going to happen next in the story.

The worst part is when you like a drama a lot and one of these happens out of nowhere.

But great thought provoking article.

Those scenes really get under my skin. I havebno issue with the leads having a cute, bickering teasing comraderie. Because I have been one of those girls who teased the guy I liked the most in school. But the slap kiss thing really irks me. If I ever get angry enough at someone to slap them in the face there would be no making out afterwards. I think the humiliation of a slap to face for anyone is usually enough to quell all hormonal surges, so find the "passion that is ignited" afterwards very strange and uncomfortable. I also hate when the kisses are forced. I mean, doesn't it hurt to have ur lips smooshed. Struggling for air and freedom never seemed sexy to me so dude would never get a second chance.

Sigh the patriarchy .

XD You guys are posting all the reasons you hate dramas and end up dropping them... I keep reading all your reasons…
I won't drop a drama for simply an annoying side character, it's usually that in conjunction with some of the other reasons I mentioned , but if I find myself cringing with each episode and not enjoying it fully, I most definitely will drop it.
