Took me years to finally make an account here. lol
Now I am here and ready to review as many series and movies as possible. Sometimes I got lots to say sometimes nothing at all or everything that I‘d have to say someone else already put into better words.

I love a good story and well written characters. But can‘t say no to a fun silly unserious series either.
Spice is welcome, sometimes. Other times it seems so unnecessary and like a desperate attempt at a much talked about/watched moment that dampens the potential of a great plot. *sigh*

This ⬇️ is kinda for myself, so I keep a certain consistency in my ratings. But maybe it helps you, too :)

CATEGORYRATING/REASONING
Overall10 — no notes, enjoyed my experience, let me forget time and space and sleep and my sanity  :)
9.5 - 8.5 — Great! Some minor things that I subconsciously noticed but can‘t really pinpoint (yet).
8 - 7 — Very Good. Maybe 2-3 open questions, flaws, things that could‘ve been handled/edited/written etc. differently.
6.5 - 5 — watchable, but the things that bothered me are more obvious & nameable, open questions/plotlines, plotholes, not the best acting/directing, flawed story…
4.5 - 3 — not good, could finish it or at least made it 2/3s through, many flaws everywhere, lots of (personal) issues with it, morally despicable…
2.5 - 1 — I hope I never have to use this and drop the series/movie beforehand.
Story (length, characters, dialogue…)10 - 7 — length of story, the story itself, characters and dialogue are well to amazingly written and visually told.
6.5 - 5 — all of the above have flaws & the potential to be better. okay to good.
4.5 - 3 — not really good, wattpad level writing (the bad kind), sensitive topics were mindlessly used, morally despicable
2.5 - 1 — same as in „Overall“
Cast/Acting
(& Directing)
10 - 7 — well chosen actors, good to great chemistry, well to greatly acted (more lenient with very young actors for all ratings), director(s) did their job well
6.5 - 5 — actor chemistry was okay, acting might be inconsistent and/or a mix of „first time on stage“ to good, directing might be a  little inconsistent, wobbly/visionless.
4.5 - 3 — acting is stiff, „first time on stage“, school project vibes (but was made by a big production company)
2.5 - 1 — Idk what level of acting, casting, directing would warrant this rating
Music (incl. sound effects & microphone quality)10 - 8.5 — music/sound effects supported the scenes well, no mic issues
8 - 6.5 — music good, every now and then either a mic issue and/or the sound effects are a little over the top and therefore distracting.
6 - 4.5 — music not always well chosen, the singing is not it, intro music doesn’t match the mood of the series, sound effects often annoying, mic issues
4 - 1 — music/sound effects overshadow/contradict the acting, mic issues.
Rewatch (& recommendation) Value10 - 7 — very rewatchable. I‘ll definitely will rewatch several times and recommend it to anyone
6.5 - 4 — somewhat rewatchable. I would rewatch maybe once or twice to see whether my opinions have changed, the watching experience is different some time later/in a binge watch. Only recommending when I know the other person‘s preferences and limits.
3.5 - 1 — never again. Not for me or anyone else.

*the categories that are missing for me are: costumes & make-up; ( locations), videography & editing.

I also feel the need to explain how I sort my Watchlists (also mainly for myself because I will forget about my system and make a mess again):
Only movies immediately land in „Plan to watch“.
All series that I have any interest in land in „Undecided“ first. Then I like to watch the first episode to decide to either move the series to „Currently Watching“ (if it hits the spot), “Plan to watch“ (with priority based on how much ep 1 piqued my interest) or they go straight to „Not Interested“.
I only see a series as „Dropped“ when I watched more than one episode.
Like this my “Plan to watch“ list becomes my personal selection of pre approved series and movies.
