I think this show was set in an universe with no homophobia...so the crime committed by Wai is actually revealing…
yes coz on the first watch u don't care for anyone else except PatPran..nobody's got time to sit n analyze supporting characters...so if anybody hurts the main couple they are doomed !! 🤣
So when I was first watching I was leaning toward Wai being a real shit friend (even though I try not to assume).…
Yes correct ! I like how every character was not made out to be either a shipper or a comedic relief and supporting characters had personality traits of their own !

Yes thisss!! I always thought why does Pran let Wai's actions slide..it's not like Pran is a pushover as we have seen numerous times in the show that he stands up for himself !!so what is the reason and then I remembered Pran telling that Wai has been his friend since before he moved back and maybe yes at a time in his life when he was separated from the boy he really liked and his school friends, Wai came in as a source of comfort to him and he remembers all that Wai has done for him especially always being protective of him coz Pran is not someone to tolerate bullshit but he knows that Wai does care for him a lot so he lets his stupid actions slide !!

Again as mentioned Pran easily forgiving Wai only makes sense in one scenario that we assume that as implied in the show Pran's sexuality was not hidden !!! so the crime that wai committed was just exposing a relationship and not his sexuality !!

yes exactly ..I loved how the show didn't suddenly drop its tone of rom-com/rom-drama and became an lgbtq show addressing homophobia ..it was like okay we know this is still an issue but that's not what we are here to focus on !!!
So when I was first watching I was leaning toward Wai being a real shit friend (even though I try not to assume).…
maybe that is what P'Aof intended to do ..to show that Wai's reason is just as valid as how a best friend being lied too would feel..and maybe he thought his audience was smart enough to understand that the curtain move was not a sexual orientation outing but just a relationship outing as they had already implied on numerous occasions that prans friends knew that he was into guys !!

this analysis though !!! Okay !! 😍..I agree with a lot of points ..especially with the part that we all know people like this in our lives who are manipulative without knowing that they are or without necessarily being evil..it's just a character trait and a person should not be judged for just that ..like I remember in the beginning I was pro Wai even though he was hampering my ship coz i could understand the reason behind his actions..of wanting to protect his best friend at all times ..sure he manipulated Pran a lot of times but i don't think he ever thought evil of Pran or deliberately tried to use him ..it was just how he was...a flawed character ..yes I would still label him as slightly toxic but not someone evil or not worthy of being a friend ..obviously if the toxicity is not addressed a long term friendship is out of the question !! I also believe creating the toxic side of Wai was deliberate and not something which unintentionally happened with the writers meaning something else but execution coming off as something different..I think the purpose of Wai was to show that yes there are toxic friends too and not everything is black and white ..

tell me about it !! I was like hello is this an alternate universe ?..I don't know i have completely outgrown 2gether ..like that series was my drug at one point and though i still love to watch other shows that i watched during the same time 2gether has just gone down the ranks for me !!
Nd pran already allowed prat to post in social media abt their relationship, so the main issue may b outing to…
wow another amazing point!! i was about to say this coz i noticed this too this time around! I was like okay since they were already going to announce it in public before the whole curtain fall thing happened , them being outed (though it was still wrong as the when n how should have been der decision) wouldn't have made them that mad and thus explains Pran not being furious at Wai
So the director went with simple him redeeming himself to his best friend only...coz outing him is a crime too…
with that perspective it does make sense if we assume that Pran was already open about being into guys so the only crime Wai committed was of outing his relation with a fellow engineering student and their biggest rival..which then also makes sense that Pran wasn't angry at himc for doing that..coz if i was at Pran's place i would have been really angry at the fact that just coz I hid my relationship from u, you fuckin outed me but if that was not the case then Pran being apologetic towards hiding the relation from Wai does make sense !!!

I agree with the point that Homophobia wasn't absent in the show it just wasn't a very big issue and was casually dealt with without making it a big deal! becoz it would have been too unrealistic to completely let go of the fact that homophobia exists (which shows like 2gether did) but at the same time P'Aof was maybe trying to imply that it's not that big a deal now with the changing times and people have become quite accepting though it is something that still needs to be declared to others, something that first needs to be discussed however casually unlike a hetero relationship !!
