i'm surprised that this show has such a high rating and more surprised that it has a higher rating than shows like Last Twilight, ThamePo etc..I understand ppl have personal taste but this show is just not it..over d top antics, overacting, irritating sound effects and tepid dialogues not to mention the stale writing...the first arc of ArcArm is not even bearable with Force's bored acting (I understand tsundere characters d perfect example being ShinWoo from Light on me but here he looked more annoyed and bored than cold and stoic) and Book is just typecasted once again to do that sunshine cinnamon act which just feels irritating now...the 2nd couple with Perth and Santa are far better both in terms of writing and acting but even they fall prey to d horrible childish antics..what is with the whole dog thing ? is Yotha into Beastiality or something ? d whole dog thing is cute for like maybe 1 time but then it kind of starts becoming annoying ...I personally love Santa and he is extremely charming but sometimes he does cross into d fake cheerful category and dis is completely on d director who basically wants everyone to exaggerate what they are feeling..it's like he hs never heard of subtlety..imagine trying to make a coming of age drama about college kids and making it so exaggerated and childish that they feel more like middle school kids than college students..i'm still gonna stick around to finish this storyline and also I have heard a lot of praise for d 3rd storyline but I'm not keeping my hopes up !!

d one thing I do agree with you is that yes Thai BLs tend to stretch der storylines uncessarily when they have nothing else to show..again this is true for 90 percent of GMMTV dramas but der r still 10 percent exceptions and to club dem all under one category and calling dem all devoid of story and direction...and yes MDL ratings should be taken with a grain of salt and CP stans and actors stan do inflate ratings but that's true for established BL ships or already famous actors..it doesn't work for a new CP or rookie actors without any established fan followings like. William and Est in Thamepo...but let's just agree to disagree on that one..
coming to Kinnporsche i did not have issues with the unrealistic setting but with the way actual good character moments and arcs were sacrificed to show how uber cool d show was..by the end i was not rooting for any of d romances coz i had lost any feelings i was getting from dem in d beginning
the reason for not calling Triage a BL ( also d same reason for it being so underrated in d BL community) was that d romance was just one sided till half of d show and that is not what d main BL demographic looks for ..don't get me wrong i absolutely love dat show..i just don't feel it classifies as a conventional BL but a thriler show with romance being one of d major plot points...d same issue that plagued the recent show spare me your mercy ( again a great show with good direction and acting but romance not being d centre stage doesn't classify it as a conventional BL)

i just came to look for this comment ..so i'm not d only one who thought this..it resembles CMBYN so much and that movie is literally one of my all time fav movies

seriously kinnporsche ? that is all style no substance ...and i'm glad ppl r realising that now as we can see with d ever degrading ratings of it on MDL....the way it lost steam midway resuting in a bloated unremarkable forced action climax...Gelboys though excellent again is a coming of age drama which focuses more on character arcs and growth using d romance as a backdrop to explore teenage issues so i won't exactly call it a BL..with Triage again I won't call it a BL even though it's a good show,,the romance doesn't have any significant development till like the later part of d show so yes good show but not a good BL..Semantic error and love for love sake are KBL with much shorter runtime than Thai BLs and so it's easier to make d narrative crisp and fast paced when u have limited time to tell a story though yes they are also really really good...

A bad ending doesn't always end in death...a couple separating to pursue their own paths is also a sad ending which happens in a lot of queer media from western countries..that's what I meant..also art is subjective there are tons of people who absolutely adored Last Twilight and Thamepo with the earlier winning several awards in both queer and other mainstream award circuits ..so u calling dem mediocre does not make dem so ..both these shows are rated better than 3 of the shows u mentioned on this site itself so u can say things like I didn't like this show coz thats ur choice obviously but to say things like "if we keep accepting mediocrity, that's all we're going to get" when majority consider dese "mediocre" shows way better than d ones u mentioned as great!!

ur standards are too high ..i would suggest art house cinema to match that...ppl don't come to watch BLs to see oscar level writing or direction..it's about well written wholesome characters that you can root for to fall in love and live happily while overcoming one or two conflicts here and der..it's about wholesome feelings rather than attention to technicalities..there are a lot of amazing queer shows out der with realistic writing depicting sad/ unhappy endings that unfortunately most gay couples in the real worldface..watch that if u want realistic stories etc watch those..the whole concept of BL is first of all a fantasy where everyone is kay with two guys falling in love and d world is a gay utopia and then you come in expecting realistic conflicts which are not easily resolved like u mentioned...

If u check their profile .. it says "u can’t convince me that GMMTV makes good BLs" and den they have around 8 GMMTV BLs rated 8 or more .. so u see d hypocrisy is quite obvious

yeah okay I hate d guy but i'm not a fool to say things like he's not a good actor coz he most definitely is ..it's okay to not be okay is a proof of that..just coz d other lead in that show was superlative does not mean someone else cannot act well in d same drama !!

i guess u haven't seen d second season of TMS 2 to call d 1st season her best work...TMS 2 is by far her best work !!

haha..for me i loved em in Only Friends but found a Boss and a Babe too plain...not bad just very bland..force is an extremely handsome man but I dont know his performances always lack something !!

yeah i have heard a lot about FaifaWine and dey were d reason i decided to give this a try even though I had swore myself off of shows like this after We Are ( started well but den god knows what happened )..i don't even mind d trope of being mean to ur crush if done well...d unnecessary extras doing unfunny stuff and d animated characters just for comedic purpose is taking me away from d whole thing !!
also what is up with those horrible sound effects ?? like i'm not new to Thai Bls so i have adapted to ignore d sound effects but these were just too loud and tacky to be ignored !!

i'm on d 2nd ep and i seriously don't understand d ratings...everything is so extra and not in a fun way..there are 10 jokes every minute and none of dem r funny...this story of acting like a jerk towards ur crush was fun in 2020 but its done to death now and is just frustrating ...does this get better or is this the tone of d remaining show? asking so i can spare myself since it's a long series..also is it me or does fforce look bored throughout..
