hmm with all due respect I don't think that's the case.... most of the comments I have seen on youtube and mdl have been fairly positive towards the show with people really liking the couple ...and as much as I find the story very unrealistic it does make for very good drama...

K...but reality and logic do not make epic stories...

wow ...I have seen almost everyone saying that the 2nd leads were bland af... the main leads didn't have chemistry? ok i guess taste does vary a lot !!

this show is soooooo damn good !! binged nine episodes in 1 day !!

if you don't wantch straight dramas at all give this one a skip...the romance is the main driving plot along with an amazing storyline...

well you clearly failed to understand the motivations behind the actions of the mother...though everything that she did was way out of line it was never ever for her personal self...a woman who was even ready to die to protect her son from what she thought would destroy him...she had seen what being outed had done to someone similar when her husband hadn't accepted it..despite that person doing everything right he was in the end judged for being gay...she did not want the same ending for her son...she didn't have any hatred against Tian for being gay and at times even said that she loves her son no matter what he is but she's afraid the world would not see it that way...so sorry if I don't apologise for feeling sad at the death of a mother who just wanted to protect her son...watching a drama at 1.5x just shows how much u tried to understand her character..

you didn't say it but it is implied from your line " i do not need to live through STRAIGHT men acting what i already am."...when someone says gay roles shouldn't be played by straight actors they are automatically type casting the roles and the actors and then anyone can then say that then straight roles shouldn't be portrayed by gay actors...what is this true representation?..ryan murphy is not admired because he is gay or he casts gay actors or straight actors ..he is known for his body of work being the amazing creator he is..casting for a role should be based on who performs and makes the character their own..not whether the actor is gay or straight..yes the stigma against gay actors is something that shouldn't be there and that is a very big problem in the industry but to say that gay roles should be portrayed by gay actors only and if they aren't then calling the product "straightwashed", is also a form of discrimination !!

I'm gay too and this is the most ridiculous thing i'v heard ...so if ur logic is true it should be true d other way as well right...so according to u straight actors should not portray gay characters... then gay actors should not portray straight characters as well right? then only it would be considered fair... so according to you the tons of hetero characters out der should only be played by heterosexual men and gay actors should portray the few limited gay characters only... wow you just type casted actors based on their sexuality severely limiting the roles that gay actors can portray...

it's not necessary to relate every piece of fictional media to something happening in real life or to any social or political cause..we watch a lot of fantasy/sci-fi/horror stuff which has nothing to do with real life but we still love them coz they bring us joy...when I watch a BL all I'm concerned with is that there is a decent plot, good acting and the leads have good chemistry..if these 3 boxes are ticked a show can be a masterpiece without it fitting the criteria of lgbtq representation media..i don't care if a straight actor played a gay role or a gay actor played a straight role as long as they play their roles well...kinnporsche was better than BBS in what way? coz they had actors belonging to lgbtq community? how does that change my viewing experience of the show ? and please don't say that it had better story or better actors or chemistry than BBS...ul just be making a fool of urself ..I loved KP but I know where BBS stands and where KP does!!

just started watching this day before and got done with it in just 2 days ...this show slowly with each epiosde crept its way into my top BLs of all time...it was hearbreaking and yet so beautiful at the same time...I have no words to describe the emotional journey this show took me on !! 😍

yeah that was some powerful acting right there ..and the message too..that it's not so easy in real life as these BLs tend to show!!

this is hands down one of the best BL series I have seen and it's up there with the likes of BBS and ATOTS...the way they depicted d struggle with one's sexuality and the fear of accepting oneself was so well done...the pressure that people have to face just to be accepted in a society which is ready to shun you the moment you show your true self was so beautifully depicted...in a galore of BL shows that depict homophobia as something which just doesn't exist in the world I'm glad that a show had d guts to tackle the subject and do justice to it....last but not the least First and Khaotung have once again proved what brilliant actors they are and the range of emotions they can portray if given a proper script with an assured direction !!! overall mesmerizing, splendid and just wonderful....wish to see more shows like this
