I'm on the 6th ep and so far I'm really liking it...i can watch Ram and Lukchup for hours together !!!

yes exactly ..the premise of arranged marriage was actually so unique and interesting for a BL..had the screenwriters done a good job and written a decent script and made the characters likeable adults even if a little naïve, this would have turned into something completely different...

I was wanting to say this since a long time that giving a good kiss is not equal to having good chemistry...they are good actors individually but when it comes to the pair I was not at all invested in the relationship beyond second episode..as you mentioned the first 2 eps were promising..it just went downhill from there..

first of all thanks for taking the criticism so nicely...yes most of them have poor plots i agree..i don't want my plot to be extraordinary..a simple premise would do ...here the plot was non existent.. miscommunication was used as the main plot ..them not being truthful was the only issue they had... also even if the plot is basic the characters have to be likeable for me to be invested in d show,,,hia lin came off as a manipulative partner trying to indirectly control the life of his fiancé while Nuea came off as a whiny child who lies his ass off constantly and then expects true love !!! characters don't need to be perfect..they need to be likeable and have some sort of development throughout and not just in the last episode !!

@TheFirstMichael2206 described the show perfectly so I will quote them - "Good points:

Above average soundtrack.

Hot (?) NC scenes.

Awful writing. Awful. It gets contradicted repeatedly and nothing substantial happens most of the time.

ok since I have already given my reasons a lot of time below I will just quote one of my comments ..beware of spoilers though -"...though I don't remember much of what happened in a completely forgettable show, i'l still try to be as objective as i can...i have no issues with miscommunication being used as a plot device and it actually is interesting to see it sometimes ( it has been used in a lot of BLs)..i did not have any issues with the first 3 episodes of the show...i completely get the point that the boy wanted to portray a perfect image of himself because of his insecurities or whatever..all that was completely fine..but then what was just a plot device actually became the plot ..the whole show was based on this miscommunication which frankly should have ended max by ep 5..it became tiresome to see Kuea being so secretive and lying over and over and that too when we as an audience knew that Hia Lin knows about everything...each episode was just a tiresome challenge to see who gives up first and reveals their side..that's it this was the plot..you have sweet moments..lovemaking...and then you're back to square one with all the lies ...this shouldn't have been the main plot ..it was fine in the beginning but then I don't want to spend 10 eps watching a couple play a cat and mouse game just because they have such horrible communication skills..and then Hia Lin decides to propose without ever telling his true side to Neur and Neur who has been yearning for the love of this man decides that this is the perfect moment for me to reveal my side...not the 1000 chances he had before but this moment ..just to create unnecessary drama.. to say no and humiliate him publicly giving reasons that you don't love me coz u don't know the real me? boy how d eff was he supposed to know when you not even once shared ur side..that is not character development ...that's a catastrophic character ...i'm all up for budding relationships and slow burns and it happening gradually but for Kuea it wasn't gradual, it was denial denial and denial and then drop a bomb... ...not once did Kuea try to talk and reveal his side to his man..how am I supposed to feel good about this relationship being shown which is completely based on dishonesty and constant lies being told to each other ...just to be clear I have nothing against the acting and chemistry....the actors did a good job and had good chemistry but they can only do so much with it if the writing is terrible..if you read my comments, my entire complaints have been directed just towards the writing and poor characters..."

you made the perfect decision by dropping it meanwhile the OCD in me did not allow me to leave the show midway even though I was struggling to watch it !!!

how are they not toxic ...they say they love each other, have sex with each other... all the while hiding their real self and portraying themselves as how they think their partner would like to see them...lie to each other all the damn time throughout the first 10 eps..how is that not toxic????

sameee !! this was my point and my first comment on this page that the amount of money they spent on the hair styling, costumes, sets etc could have been actually paid to the screenwriters to write a decent plot or come up with likeable characters!!!🤣...coz how does chemistry , acting etc matter if the characters are unlikeable

ok 1/10 is a bit much but that's personal opinion ..i myself rated it average and not poor coz I liked everything else except the characters and plot which for me matter the most..the acting, chemistry, ost, set design, costumes etc were on point !!!

also, you kind of did compare it with Bad Buddy by saying and I quote "Kinnporsche is 8.3 (Meanwhile bad buddy is 8.5😂"....also if that last part ...."isn't it better to watch some unique stuff than... hating from the bottom of heart, then blooming a love out of nowhere and becoming lovers...?"..... was directed at Bad Buddy, I don't think you watched the show properly coz from d first episode itself it was made perfectly clear that those 2 didn't actually hate each other but pretended to do so coz of pressure from their parents and friends..whenever they were togehter, only the 2 of dem, they were very considerate of each other ...so their relationship was friends to pretend enemies to lovers ...and the love did not "bloom out of nowhere"..one had feelings from years (Pran) and d other always had it , just took time to realize it ....they always had feelings for each other..and the best part was every issue, every doubt between them was communicated as a couple and resolved ..they had to fight others..not each other ...that's a power couple..not two people who in their insecurities are horrible partners to each other !!
