I'l be blunt !! As much as I loved Not Me after watching it, believe me I was very sceptical to watch it in the beginning because of all the political themes ..yes I want my BLs to be different but I also do not want them to be tackling such serious issues which frankly require a better representation than being the backdrop of a love story !! The execution is really good but as a first time viewer(and if I did not know Off Gun) if I saw the trailer, the tone and the theme of the show I would hesitating to start it too..and though the themes are applicable to the issues of the world in general they are mostly related to Thailand...speaking objectively as an international viewer unless n until i'm very much interested in what's happening In other countries and the world, I would not be wanting to invest my time in a show like this. Another reason which I think is that though promoted as a BL, the relationship progression is extremely slow paced and nothing actually happens till the 7th ep between the leads (which frankly I didn't mind but i can see a lot of viewers not liking that aspect)

I believe the reason they were so good and compatible together was there contrasting personalities...Pat was always very vocal with his love ..he loved to put his love on display and to make sure the other person gets to know how much he cares bout them by being upfront and declaring his love honestly..while Pran has never been the one to say such things ..it's just not in his character to say goofy cheesy things..he shows his loves through action..he cooks for Pat and Pa like they are his family, he does the household chores, he massages and dries his BFs hair, he makes sure that Pat cheers up whenever he is feeling low and many other things ...
