Please you can tell the synopsis and novel ending and what happened to 3Ml leads and FL
The synopsis is posted above. Basically, Huang Yimei meets Zhuang Guodong first but they end up separating due to reasons. Then, Huang Yimei meets and gets married to Fang Xiewen but they divorced due to career differences. She then meets Pu Jiaming, her soulmate. However, he's terminally ill and dies. In the end, I'm guessing she probably gets back together with ZGD. I never finished the novel so I don't know the ending for that.
Honestly such a great drama so far (on 23). I love all the characters and their personalities. Even the "bad"…
He keeps calling her wifey and she got tired of correcting him. Everyone assumes they're together. Meanwhile, they have barely gotten to the dating stage lol.
Honestly such a great drama so far (on 23). I love all the characters and their personalities. Even the "bad" guys are pretty funny and entertaining to watch. My favorites are probably Nan Lan and Bai Wei plus their CPs. Of course, Ouyang Tianqing and Kuang Haisheng are super cute~
The author, minifish, has the story on a Wordpress blog. If you look up "雨霖铃 minifish", it should be relatively easy to find. Unfortunately, the original work is in Chinese and to my knowledge there has been no English translation so far.
Based on the drama synopsis I've read so far, the adaptation seems to have a slightly different (hopefully less dramatic) plot than the original novel. The casting is pretty star-studded. Looking forward to this one~
Synopsis from Baidu: Huo Linglong, the eldest daughter of Linglong Manor runs away from home in order to escape from an unwanted arranged marriage. During her journey, she meets a mysterious man in black with seemingly peerless martial arts. The man is severely wounded and relentlessly chased by Jianghu factions of both good and evil. Despite his injuries, he continuously helps Huo Linglong escape from danger. Both curious and slightly intrigued, Huo Linglong later learns that this man is actually the "Southern Hero", Zhan Zhao. Because he obtained incriminating evidence against Xiangyang Wang, he has been persistently hunted down by the other factions. Zhan Zhao eventually defeats his pursuers but is left poisoned. With no other choice, he entrusts the vital evidence to Huo Linglong, falling into an enemy ambush in order to help her escape. When threatened with the lives of the common people, Zhan Zhao is forced to submit to imprisonment.
Now fleeing for her life with evidence in hand, Huo Linglong is pursued by one of Xiangyang Wang's subordinates, Shao Jizu, who is also her fiancée..... Ultimately, Shao Jizu catches up to Huo Linglong and attempts to seize the evidence. Fortunately, with the guidance of an enigmatic, young hero in white, Huo Linglong defeats Shao Jizu. This young man in question is actually the famous "Brocade-Coated Rat", Bai Yutang. The two then work together to rescue Zhan Zhao before continuing on their journey. While investigating the case, they uphold justice and arrest criminals, breaking apart Xiangyang Wang's carefully built power network. They uncover a woven web of conspiracies, bringing old secrets and lies to light. Slowly but surely, an age of peace and stability is returned to the people.

Yes, honestly too much for my taste because it's not done well. Lu Feng and Hua Xiang Yu like each other. Lan Bing likes Lu Feng and Huo Fei likes Hua Xiang Yu.
Really like this drama so far, even if it's just for the constant twists & turns. I'm at episode 22 at the moment.…
Also honestly, I'm just really feeling a mixture of sympathy and pity for all the orphans in this drama who get indoctrinated by one side or another. Wu Chang, Huo Fei, Lu Feng, Hua Xiang Yu, probably Lan Bing and a few others all basically become stone-cold killers because that is all they were ever raised to do. It doesn't seem like any of them really believe in the actual cause.
Wu Chang and Huo Fei, in particular, see Shan Guan as a parent figure and desperately want to earn his approval. But really, Shan Guan is only manipulating them to commit murder on his behalf and is willing to sacrifice them for his own motives.
I really hope that Hua Xiang Yu and Lu Feng manage to get out one way or another. However, I do have a feeling that one of them might die in the end but fingers crossed not. I won't even mention Lan Bing, Wu Chang or Huo Fei because this show seems to really enjoy killing off the side characters.
Really like this drama so far, even if it's just for the constant twists & turns. I'm at episode 22 at the moment. In this drama, you never really know anyone's identity or what their true motives are. In a world of conspiracies and secrets, even a spy's life can turn from valuable to worthless in a few seconds. And at times, the only choice is to follow your superior's order even if you personally disagree.
Ep 27: Does the Crown Prince (Wen Jun's older brother) already have a wife? Like he seems to be already married or at least engaged because Wen Jun asks about his 长嫂 and he calls Wen Ying 长兄. Wen Jun asks for advice how to get together with Jiu'er. The Crown Prince responds he knew that she (the sister-in-law) cared about him/had feelings because she got jealous that he was going to get engaged with someone else.
....But what about Chi Lan...She better get a HE & someone who spoils and treats her wholeheartedly.
I started reading a bit of the novel after realizing Liu Yifei was going to act in the adaptation. Was honestly…
I think the worst one was when this married guy (friend of her brother's) falls in love with her. She despite knowing he's married, kind of leads him on and spends time with him (her only excuse is that she's pretty young, a spoiled teenager still). The guy thinking they have a future breaks up his marriage, he just married his wife not long ago (she's also pregnant or something I think?) Then her family finds out and her brother tries to force them apart. She doesn't really care and blames the wife for not being able to keep the husband from straying (and also the husband because he's an idiot for thinking she was going to be with him).
Huang Meigui probably undergoes a lot of character growth in the future but I couldn't force myself to read past this. Her character and actions just rub me the wrong way. There's nothing wrong with her being beautiful, attracting attention, or enjoying her life by dating different people. But it's the indifference and lack of empathy toward anyone else that kinds of gets me.
Anyways, sorry to ramble on. I really hope the adaptation goes into a better direction and I do think Liu Yifei can do a good job portraying this complex character.
I started reading a bit of the novel after realizing Liu Yifei was going to act in the adaptation. Was honestly so distressed by Huang Meigui's characterization that I stopped reading.
It starts off when she's really young and is mostly told from the POV of her older brother. She's super beautiful and men kind of fall in love with her at first sight. However, she's pretty heartless and basically uses the men as a tool to have fun and new experiences. She breaks their hearts in the end because she never really cared while the guys really loved her.
