Firstly, I understand where people are coming from. The ending doesn't feel rushed- rather, it missed too much points and leaves even more questions than we had in the beginning. I was also disappointed at the ending at first, but I just decided to fill that void with my own imagination and how I wanted it to end. That aside, the overall story was great. The plot felt so fresh to me, coming from someone who picked it up with absolutely no expectations. I put this up as one of my favourite kdramas of all time since the chemistry and story truly intrigued me unlike other repetitive plots. Although I was a bit sad FML did not express her feeling to ML towards the end. I understand where she came from, but even showing little interest would've made it perfect. Since without it, it seemed like the ML was just an outright stalker and brainwashed her to liking him. The OST on the other hand was amazing contrary to what some people have to say. The music definitely did something to me. Even without lyrics, it’s one of my favorite OSTs. Listening to it brings a wave of nostalgia and melancholy. I think i just like a good sob story.
my FAVOURITEE kdrama of all time. There's genuinely nothing that can top this show, its crazy. This may just seem like some family comedic show, but its not. This really showed that life may not turn out like you wanted it, and every one grows up. I learned so much life lessons from this drama. I felt every emotion all in the span of 20 episodes- i found myself crying and cracking up after 2 seconds. Overall favourite, overall the best. Many people may have watched this, but it's not hyped up enough. It really does feel like you're part of their family. Producers, who ever you are, you're the best, honestly.
The OST is also so freaking fire. I still listen to it after 3 years.
Let me just say- I'm very picky with dramas. I also don't usually watch cdramas. However, I completed this show recently, and damn. This drama hit the standards for me. I can't watch anything else now. I didn't expect much from TFF but i swear even listening to the OST makes me CRY. Everything about cdrama is so beautiful. The YEARNING, melancholy, the flashbacks, literally EVERYTHING. Many people seems to not understand the depth of the main characters and why they act like the way they did. This drama was like a puzzle piece, with the answers popping up one by one that you have to figure out yourself. I personally loved the slowburn. I mean like- Wen Yifan was BARELY healing from her past experiences. I for sure should not expect her to forget about it so fast and go straight for the romance like what some people crave for. People are quick to judge. For me, this drama really just fills up the void of my avoidant self. Sang Yan is the definition of "The perfect man" which is what she definitely needed.
