I enjoy light-hearted dramas, but this was poorly written (even aside from the racism issue). First episodes better than later on. You could kind of tell towards the end that the leads were like 'what is this nonsense?' with the script. They had decent chemistry and tried, but ultimately it wasn't very engaging.
I haven't cried at an episode like this for years. I can't believe they did that to Gam-ri, final straw!!! KSH was brilliant, I don't know how he looks completely different, you can really see the change in his physicality and how he moves. Although I wasn't sure about his hyung reappearing on the bench (felt a bit strange). I-Jun crying and being a child was a nice touch too.
This show has some pacing issues. How was this episode 14?? This should have been episode 12 or at max 13. How…
Totally agree. pacing was a bit off. We didn't need two whole episodes of the honeymoon phase, could have brought in Du-sik's backstory earlier and given it more time to breathe. Guessing we'll now have one 'backstory' episode and one 'happy ending' episode next week.
