i loved missing nine hhfhsdhhthe only nonredeemable quality of the drama was the very last scenes with them forgiving…
No way. The first 9 episodes were brilliant. Then after that it just went down hill. The plot lost itself and them just forgiving the killer was the straw that broke the camel's back!
It use to bother me to drop dramas. However, I've soon embraced it gleefully. It doesn't bother me what other MDL friends think since they kind of expect it of me now! In fact I remember many guessing when I'd dump certain dramas! >_< I like the 4 episode rule in general. Though I think for long Chinese dramas you can get a feel by 6 episodes a lot of times.
If you don't drop I think you'll get drama burn out faster. Or even come to dislike dramas. I discovered that I truly became a drama fan when I started dropping the ones I didn't like. I didn't need to feel obligated to suffer through popular titles.
I've really wanted to give this show a go, but the pacing issue scares me. K-dramas are the worst for dragging things out and making me drop them. I mean only K-dramas can make 16 episodes feel like an eternity when once enjoying the show. It would drive me crazy to get so far and have to dump it!
I think the truth is we'd like to see all our favorite actors and actresses in diverse roles. Especially actresses. It's exciting to see them in new dramas and I think seeing them play totally polar characters would only add to that!
Ironically filming on location costs more than sets. Plus, sometimes adding the cgi effects to a live shot (aka real location) can cost way more. Especially depending on the software. Sound, and so much more is easier to create/control on sets with green screens. There's lots of other technical reasons for it as well. Blame the wigs on the makeup department. Bad wigs happen outside of Chinese fantasy drama.
I a lot of it can be bad. You get use to it and then you really appreciate it when you see great CGI. Most TV CGI sucks. I remember Once Upon a Time In Wonderland got canceled because people couldn't stand the CGI, despite it's great story.
For me that was the best introductory.
Greedy person that I am, I want more. I'll take what I can get and be happy that more characters/roles are getting to diversify.

I'm I missing something?
