Well Healer getting sloppy!! His romantic side is showing. ^_- Will it be his downfall? Queue dramatic music.
Ooo, I love a good conspiracy. I just new something would be fishy with Jun Seok's suicide and the friend he supposedly killed for money. This is so dramatic and complex, but I'm happy the writers are keeping it on track. It could all become easily convoluted.
What I'm more interested in is how Moon Shik is truly a puppet. Did the actions that he took put him in that place? The flashback meeting with Moon Shik and the Elder confused me. Moon Shik looked like he was dealing well and climbing the corporate ladder. (Maybe with that money that Jun Seok was supposed to have murdered over?) The Elder took an interest then? Or were they slightly in league even then. Hmmm? Obviously Moon Shik is going to want to be Arthur instead of Merlin If he doesn't I'd be really surprised.
Healer Yeong Shin! That elevator scene! That roof scene!? (I think Healer is going to be the drama of amazing roof scenes.) Was Healer just testing Yeong Shin? Does he want her to like Healer and not Bong Soo? Or I don't know! He didn't seem to upset that she turned down Bong Soo's confession. Though I do like how in that moment she noticed that he was "another person".
Man, the sexual tension is killing me.! The fact that's it's sexual tension and not just random cute romantic tension makes this all the sweeter. There's a lot of drama tropes here, but I love how well they're being executed. The writers are amazing and all of the characters are so well realized.

What a tangled web! Things are starting to clear up. The flashbacks continue off and on, but not enough to over power the story. I like the overlay that they do to transition from past to present. The style is growing on me and it's not so hard to follow.
The leads are very compelling and I'm definitely enjoying it. It's very interesting watching them interact. Especially as Healer is playing that goofy role to get close to Young Shin. (And I'm going to keep referring to him as Healer because he goes by a lot of names so far. It will be easier this way.)
The tabloid story that Young Shin is working on after helping that woman is very compelling. It's a tragic story and sadly becoming a common tale for women. Not just aspiring actresses. I wonder how things will pan with Young Shin doing the research? Not to mention what's going on with the Jian group?
Very compelling and again I can't say how much I love the action in this drama. This most be what it's supposed to look like! The scenes where he was jumping on the roofs in pursuit was amazing! The camera crew did a wonderful job.
It's official actor Ji Chang Wook as Healer is killing it.

So it's still questionable who is who, and what exactly is going on. But I think I'm getting the gist. I'm betting rewatching the first two episodes might help, but I don't believe in doing that. Things will pull together. But it's confirmed that Healer as a "Night Courier" steals/obtains items that his clients want. Whether it's for good or bad, as long as he doesn't have to kill anyone.
I actually like Yeong Shin a lot. I just wish she was a bit more slick. But I guess she was learning her trades from failed convicts. Ha! I love that she has this darker past, but she's found happiness and she's so joyful!
It fits well with the tone of the show. Healer has hints of darkness, but overall it's fun. This episode made me smile a lot! Especially with the morning dance scene between Yeong Shin and her father. It was so awesome.
It's also a great setup how Yeong Shin ended up with that picture and now Jung Hoo (AKA Healer) is going to want to find out how she got that picture of him. Not to mention the setup that Healer is being blamed for a murder. Is it someone framing him, or a coincidence that his name was on the dead man he was getting the package from? The plot thickens.
Overall I'm still liking this drama. The music is great and I love the cinematography. While the side characters past and how they're all connected now is muddy, it is compelling. Overall I like the characters and I'm curious as to where this story is going to go. Not to mention that Jung Hoo is an impressive character. Seeing him as a weird awkward guy as he tried to get information was impressive. I think I'm going to like this actor.

Cheese in the Trap Episode 2

The plot thickens! I'm thinking illegitimate siblings or something? I like the idea of Jung being related to In Ho and his sister! The plot thickens. I love how intense this episode was, but continued to make me smile and laugh. Especially the jokes about In Ho being a bum. I wish our bums looked that good! Ha!
Any way the writing and pacing of this show is really great. I also like how it's showing us little tidbits of Jung's personality. Especially about how he doesn't like how people treat him. AKA use him, want him, and parade him around. The slow reveal is nice, and as long as we keep learning more about him it's all good.
Seol is definitely a lead that I'm liking. While at times I would like her to just say know, or do the smarter thing, she's still awesome. Especially when she wants to say something and is thinking about her friend. And when she finally does it's worth it. I also enjoyed that he "makeover" wasn't really a full body one. She still looked like her. (Though I'm sure at some point we'll get that stunning makeover. Though honestly I think her hair looks kind of cute. And I secretly like some of her frumpy clothes, those will dress up easy.)
The side friends are still amazing and I love the actor and actress. Bo Ra is so much fun and the actress is so cute. I love how animated and sweet she is, especially when she's being fierce. At this point I've very curious how Cheese in the Trap will go. It really ended on an intense note and I'll be curious to see how "dark" the melodrama and character history will go. I hope it sticks to it's lighter side and keeps a balance.
Most importantly I'm really looking forward to seeing Seol grow.

If I was forced to watch, and finish, a Itazura na Kiss this would be the version I went with. The actors an fun tweeks wit the plot are great.
The end is I don't like the Itazura na Kiss story never have. The way the male treats the female lead just doesn't appeal. And I'm still uninterested in the female lead.
My last three episode reviews painted this out well. But my interest was waning and this episode just proved that while it's different, it's still going to have all the base elements to it that have never liked.
Even with minor tweaks this is essentially Itazura na Kiss. In the end it's a story I don't care for.

Oh My Ghost Episode 12

Finally Bong Seon is fully present. And watching Bong Seon and Seon Woo interact truly shows how right they are for eachother. Not to mention that a flashback is shown of how Bong Seon was also a lonely child, and that two lonely souls had finally found eachother. Heck Bong Seon even gets along with So Hyeong. In big part it is thanks to Sun Ae shacking up her world and showing Bong Seon that she is more then her fear. That Bong Seon doesn't have to hold herself back.
That said it was inevitable that Bong Seon would have doubts. Seon Woo has spent a lot of time with Sun Ae. Some pivotal moments occurred with Sun Ae, not Bong Seon. Sadly Bong Seon doesn't know that he likes her when she is Bong Seon the most, especially the Bong Seon that Sun Ae has helped to grow.
This is an episode that is beautiful in the romance it's created. And heartbreaking because you can fully see why Bong Seon and Seon Woo can't be together at this point. Solid writing, and solid characters. Despite Bong Seon not truly be present, the writers have done a marvelous job giving viewers just enough information. With this episode and the last few Bong Seon has somehow become a fully developed character. One I truly love and respect.
It's also heartbreaking for Sun Ae, but it's also the first steps leading her to why she might truly be staying behind. Dying a virgin is a silly thing to stay behind for. Now experiencing love, that's something else entirely. However, the dark tones and sub plots that Oh My Ghost has been hinting at are finally coming to light. Sun Ae knows something is up.
Overall I hope the writers, who have proven themselves here, can create a great mystery. Not to mention wrap up everything. Oh My Ghost deserves a solid and complete ending. With 4 episodes left I'm on the edge of my seat.

This one is my favorite episode by far!!! Ah! And . . . Bong Seon is herself!! Because Seon Woo was open to her she finally wasn't just the "Sorry" girl anymore. Bong Seon is so cute and I loved seeing her peek out and show herself. I can totally see why Bong Seon is a match for Sun Ae. Especially when she bites a man for stealing Seon Woo's bicycle seat! It will forever be one of my all time favorite drama moments.
It's not all total laughs though. Things are developing on every plot level here. It's hinted that Sun Ae doesn't even think that virginity should be that big of a thing to be hung up on. So maybe after she finally "get it" (wink-wink) she might be holding a grudge because of how she died. There's been tons of mystery all around how Sun Ae died and Seon Woo's sisters accident. Plus, things are getting very interesting with Seong Jae. He is possessed. The hints are just too much!
Overall I think things are progressing well with all the characters and I love watching everyone interact! I great show always can pull off telling multiple stories surrounding the leads. That's what I loved even more about this episode.
Even more is that Bong Seon is finally developed here. She might be coming out of her introverted shell, but she's still hesitant. So I see why she believes she needs help landing Seon Woo. After all she hadn't bade any progress until Sun Ae was in residence. I hope that now that Bong Seon will be a willing host, that maybe both of them will be in-residence. That would be so awesome! Either way this was the best episode to date. Some of the best laughs I've gotten from any kind of TV show and I adored Sun Ae's face at the end! Best cliffhanger!

Wow! If that was the fantasy kiss, I can't wait for the actual kiss to happen! And Seon Woo just playfully "angry" bit her!! Wow!! Seon Woo is really developing as a character.
Not only do we get to see him playfully flirt and buy his ingredients. But we get to see him confront his bullied past. It was great that he could learn and grow from the experience and I commend the writers for handling the topic of bullying well. On both sides. Showing that even though Seon Woo is successful and amazing, it still haunts him. It also haunts the bully and both parties are affected by it negatively. But there's always time to grow and forgive/apologize.
At this point I think it's supposed to be a love triangle between Bong Seon, Sun Ae, and Seon Woo. However, poor Bong Seon has had practically know time to develop. It's refreshing she'll be going on this outing with Seon Woo, but I'm afraid it will be a missed opportunity. Sun Ae is so much fun and I can't stay mad at her for long. But her selfishness is getting annoying. She's only thinking about herself.
This episode was great bringing out the laughs and feels. A lot of big things happen here. Especially some hints to what may have tragically happened to Sun Ae and Seon Woo's sister. No matter what going forward Bong Seon needs some development time. Especially to grow a backbone. Obviously what she's doing isn't working. All of the characters here are wonderful and I want her to join the list of "wonderful characters". There hints that maybe Bong Seon does have someone who likes her, so that's exciting and cute. Let's see what happens!

That's right, a drama ending that's solid. Considering how amazing the whole experience has been with I Hear Your Voice that's not too surprising. Yes, I was nervous where the drama was going to leave off. How could it wrap up that cliffhanger from the last episode in just one go? Well again I've been shown that I should not doubt the team behind this drama.
In the end I loved how I was able to see every characters point of view. More importantly their growth. This episode ties everything up. It's not a rushed ending, or open ending. Fans will be happy.
It moved me. My heart was warm and happy by the end. Thank you.

OK, it needs to be said. If an older male lead can get the younger (significantly so) girl. It's perfectly fine for an older female lead to get the younger male. I see nothing wrong with that, and it bothers me that others feel that way. But then it flutters away on wings of rainbows as my absolute joy of this series continues. I Hear Your Voice is just that good. It's giving me everything I want and more from my drama!
Cha is amazing. Man do I have second male lead syndrome bad. The thing is he's so amazing that he could actually win the girl. As I've said this is probably the BEST love triangle I've had the experience of enjoying. I say it a lot when I review books, when a triangle of love is done right it's sooooo good. It's way so many shows do it, but few actually succeed.
That sad the court room drama was brilliant here. Cha and Jang are amazing in the courtroom together. They are a wonderful team. Also, it thrills me to say that Jang steps up. While Cha clearly got the majority of the "amazing courtroom" stuff. Jang delivers in the end. Making my hopes and dreams of totally amazing female attorneys/prosecutor leads seem so close. For this episode it was a reality.
Love how dastardly the villain of this series has been. So few pure evil villains ever feel so real, or evoke true feeling of terror. There's clearly some underlying drama to do with a certain judge, persecuted, and attorney that I am dying to find out about. Well done to the writers for creating such amazing characters! The story, feelings, and basically everything about this drama is so much more intense then any drama I've watched before. And I'm not saying it lightly.
On that note. Please let the old Soo Ha come back. His there lurking, but I don't want no damsels! Not from my female leads, and not from my male leads. (Besides the none amnesiac Soo Ha is just too amazing not to have around.)

"I'll Be There."
Who knew that a K-drama would take on of my most favorite Jackson Five song, and give me goose bumps. What a way to end this episode!!! Holy cow!
It's official Hye Sung is one of the most well developed female leads I've had the pleasure to "discover" in a dramas. She might be prideful, stubborn, and number of other bad qualities. But deep down she's a bleeding heart. Hye Sung has been bitter about what the past has dealt with her. Between what she is saying of "justice karma" and her mother she'll do all right now. Well and with Soo Ha's help.
The court battle for the mean girl's innocent was such a rush! It was fun seeing Soo Ha battle it out with Do Yeon. Especially as Soo Ha sees that Do Yeon hasn't changed one bit. And that by not admitting when she's wrong she's become a bad person. I'd like to think this is what will help set the fire under Soo Ha's butt to make her the public defender the people need. (Yes, so melodramatic of me.)
That being said the supporting characters here are amazing! Everyone is so well developed and I love the way they interact with each other. Especially Soo Ha's mom. Her mom is soooooo adorable. Plus, she never doubts her daughter. She might be the one to give her tough love, but only because she knows her daughter can give more.
This episode was one heck of a rush! It proves to be smart with it's cases, delivering a great law drama. At this point from the writing I'd take a shot in the dark and say that the romance isn't going to derail what is going to be a wonderful law drama. What I want even more is to see Soo Ha and Do Yeon battling out to the bitter end. Until Soo Ha finally gets her justice.
Now I'm off to the next episode to adore Soo Ha some more. He's shaping up to be one of my favorite drama men.

A very strong episode. The writing is everything I search for in a drama. Establishing anti-heroes and the struggles ahead. The characters. The best part is that the humor doesn't try to hard and I find myself smiling soooooo much.
There was a bit of a huge issue here.
Hye Sung was wrongfully accused. Everyone assumed she was guilty, well people just wanted to assume she was guilty after one person obviously lied. So when the same time of case comes before her she simply does nothing. Telling the girl that she should plead guilty. Even after hearing a suicide attempt from her client she doesn't care. No. What she cares about is that her nemesis from years ago is suddenly on the case. But she's not suddenly on it. No. (Again.) Hye Sung didn't even look into the case enough to see who the prosecutor was!
Hye Sung is a very cool character. I like that she stuck to her guns no matter what. She's stubborn, but I thought she at least could care. I can see that her past experiences have injured her. Yet she never once states it. It's simply established that she's lazy and wants money. She does have some doubts about her stance helping her client, that maybe she is also wrongfully accused. But I dislike that she doesn't stand up for her until it's clear her nemsis is involved and still looking down on her.
Will see because Hye Sung has so much potential.
So Ha is amazing here! And I think I've found another actor to drama stalk. Watching So Ha is a treat. Especially that smile when he finally finds Hye Sung. Or when he saves his classmate. Oh, and basically every scene. Despite finding out that the woman he's been searching for over 10 years is definitely not what he expected, he's going to keep pushing. He will protect her, maybe even from herself.
Not as strong as the first episode, maybe because it's clear how Hye Sung is jaded and not truly likeable. Funny thing is this is the type of character many lead males are modeled after. I like the moments where Hye Sung is warm and alive with her mother. Clearly Hye Sung's trailers have dampened some of that passion that made her want to testify against a murder. But I have a feeling that So Ha will help her get that back. I'm still convinced that this show is going to be a favorite.

The cliffhanger I've been waiting for! The "chase" might be over. Which means, at least to me, that finally the writers should treat us viewers to some concrete information on these virus plagued vampires. Because I haven't really added anything to my "Mythos" list, other than the red blood cell thing and making some confirmed edits. So please, more vampire info.
Another slower episode for the series, but I can't look away. Ji Sang is still playing around with us, and Jae Wook, as to whether or not he's going to drink human blood! So clearly Ji Sang has never drank blood other than that deer when he was a kid. So what is sustainging him? How is he still so strong. Clearly more information on vampries, especially Ji Sang, needs to be given! I've seen him drink things . . . or making it look like he's drinking things?
Ri Ta has wormed her way into my heart, and might start to warm her why in there as well. Is it me or did that one scene with Ga Yeon and Ji Sang have more pow than the slow buildup between Ri Ta and Ji Sang? Because I'm a slow buildup kind of gal. Character finally having friendship and then more, is always something I go for. But Ga Yeon and Ji Sang have something there, hopefully Ri Ta and Ji Sang have some more development coming up. Because I really like the idea of these two, and this slow buildup. Especially after Ri Ta tells Ji Sang the story of how she was rescued. ^_-
Overall I'm still eagerly awaiting each new episode. While this on and the last have been slower, it's still developing nicely. Ignoring some key characters (which makes me wonder if they're waiting to pull a betrayal out or certain side characters are just to be there for stereotypes.
On the vamp mytho here's what we know:
- Red blood cells make them go crazy, but they don't need them.
- Vampire can't get too hot, makes them feel like they have flu/painful.
- UV lights still hurt their eyes, even with Ji Sang's special pills.
- They run cold, and it's painful to have a normal temperature.
- Other vampires can sense each other by hearing dolphin like sonar waves. (Or scent?)
- Can they control animals? Or just dogs.
- Vampirism is caused by a virus.
- Super strength and speed.

"Bad boys, bad boys! What'cha gonna do when they come for you!?"
Seriously the "bad boys" music for the vampire Bad Boys Gang is too funny. Every time it hits it's so over the top. In fact a lot of the music is. There's this campy vampire tune, an over dramatic one that really gets the blood pumping. It's both atrocious and wonderful. What's more is that in the middle of all that campy music is BANG BANG : Jessie J ft Ariana Grande & Nicki Minaj! Crazy placement, but at least it was a bar scene.
The whole gang of bad boys intrugues me, while making my eyes roll. The cliffhanger were the Bad Boy Gang (it's official now) is testing Ji Sang out is an adrenaline rush! While one of the Bad Boys Gang (with super bad hair and a ugly bad boy jacket) makes these crazy evil smile faces at Ji Sang. I was more focused on him and what his next facial expression would be than Ji Sang getting shot at.
That said Ri Ta isn't getting any better. The whole idea is that she is still upset over Ji Sang being right about her being a bad doctor that she can't see past that. She can't see that her Uncle simply wants her to become smarter so that he doesn't have to save her. There's a moment when her mother (a nun) is being admitted that's very tender, but then she treats her patients like nothing. Never thinking that she could learn some things from her peers.
On the vamp mytho here's what we know:
- UV lights still hurt their eyes, even with Ji Sang's special pills.
- They run cold. (But why sleep on an ice bed and take ice baths?)
- Other vampires can sense each other by hearing dolphin like sonar waves.
- Vampirism is caused by a virus.
- Super strength and speed.
So far I like the slow reveal of information on vampires. I'll probably be keeping a running list at the bottom of my episode reviews. (Because I'm nerdy like that.) It's nice that the writers are trying to create some mythology around there vampires, and give them limitations that will hopefully be consistent throughout the show.
The rest of the cast is getting a nice development time as more players are introduced and stakes are being set. I like this slow tease where viewers can get to know the characters and not get an info dump. Or they're simply not given anything. It's probably what's going to save Ri Ta for me, as we get hints of her past and her current relationship with her Uncle. While the develop of the villians is really campy (yeah I'm mainly thinking the Bad Boys Gang) the new female villain seems promising. Though I feel like she might just be tossed in as a love complication later on down the line.
Also, I'm bothered by the timeline. As some stated Ji Sang was in his 30s and the last stated date was in the 90s. So I'm wondering if this is current time? Future? It could be the subtitles didn't pop up right to tell me the current date. So I'll just assume it's present day.
Overall I'm digging Blood. I love all the medical mumbo jumbo, Ri Ta and Ji Sang butting heads, the other doctors seem interesting, the villain is good eye candy, there's plenty of mysteries, and other interesting characters to explore. Even the robot doesn't annoy me as much. (Though I think Luuvy is still going to far.) At this point I think I'm in it for the long haul. Despite others I've seen worst acting, scripts, and dramas then this. Blood is hitting all of the sweet spots for me right now.

You're All Surrounded Episode 11

You're All Surrounded as truly found itself and it feels great to say that I'm glad I forced myself to stick around. It's been fun. Sometimes it's a risk to keep grudgingly holding on, and sometimes it pays off. (Which makes me happy, but creates bad expectations for shows that never turn things around.)
Everything good happens here. Well, I mean bad things happen, but what I'm talking about is plot wise. You're All Surrounded will not be dragging it's feet anymore. Dae Gu's secret is out and the whole team knows! Which means the story is just getting better and better. Poor Seok just can't catch a break, but this episode just makes me love him more. And Dae Gu becomes a cooler character. Maybe because the writers finally realized that Dae Gu was not interesting or likable? (Because I have serious doubts it was because the weight of his secret was finally removed and he became happier.) Either way both the male leads are great.
This episode is really building up the School Nurse murder. I mean a killer coming to kill the killer. The supposed high up official pulling the strings, may have an even higher up person to turn to? A-mazing!
And thank you, thank you, for the amazing scenes where Tae Il and Ji Kook take care of Dae Gu. It was such an "ahhhhhh" moment, in between giggling.
Again what a well balanced episode. All of the characters are developed and included. The cases as well as the Nurse Murder are balanced. The humor, everything felt on spot.
Except for the fight scene between Dae Gu and the Boot right at the beginning. It was horrible. That, what I'm assuming, was glass reflecting n front of the fight was cheap and distracting. Once Seok came in to save the day it was clear the scene was as sloppy as it looked. Because Seok takes what I think was a potted plant to the eye. And it looked like it hurt. After looking it up Cha's eye was actually injured. Hopefully the future fight scenes will be better, and safer for the actors.
It always amazes me how dedicated actors can be in there rolls. Bravo.
Now not to end on the beginning of the episode. This is one heck of a cliffhanger, and I love how things come back full circle between Dae Gu and Boot. With a karma twist.
