Neo’s agency signed first. Then FL was cast later so even if he wanted to back out bc of the age gap he couldn’t. Not everyone knows this and gave Neo a lot of bad rep for being the ML for this show.

Ai Mi is so talented but I’m so disappointed in the casting. Couldn’t they have gotten a younger ML? Lots of great young actors like Wang Xingyue? Or if Neo signed first, Ai Mi’s team should have chosen differently. Can’t she branch out and do a cute high school drama? On principle I’d have to sit out in this. If I were a teenager, this probably wouldn’t have bothered me. But being older, this gives me the ick. :( If I hear good things about the drama I’ll probably just read the book. I look forward to supporting Ai Mi in other shows though. I really love her acting.

The admin vs music teacher storyline felt kinda like cheap thrills it was a bit too cray cray. BUT it’s possible that previously the connected s-lines caused problems, but now even the lack of connection also drove a person to craziness.

Ugh, I love Ai Mi but could her management team not literally just wait 3 more years before casting her in a romance lead role?? I’m sitting this one out even though I love Neo and Riley.

I really enjoy this drama and was pleasantly surprised the FL was the 2FL in Arsenal Military Academy! I wish she was in more stuff

Legend of the Female General was supposed to air in March, but suspended due to a scandal by one of the side characters. So the airing has been delayed for an unknown time. If you visit the MDL page you’ll see everyone praying/hoping for the release.

The animated version is available on iQIYI~ So excited for the live action CP! Please let’s all light some incense sticks to pray the whole cast stays out of scandal for the next 1.5 yrs. My heart cannot take another Legend of Female General heartbreak!💔
