QiQi and Song deserve more attention. Their CP in ep 27 was unexpectedly good & their acting is spot on π Such an enjoyable second couple, doesn't feel like a filler at all. I'm looking forward to see more of them.
Yeah I saw that too. They are gonna rhapsody each other to death!
Feel you. When I watched Story of Ming Lan I didn't check the cast or story so I went in with no prior knowledge and I loved it, it was an amazing viewing experience because I expected the Minglan to end with 2nd ML (as I taught he was the main ML) but when she didn't, it totally made sense. And later when the ML came in, it made the story much more beautiful & also made sense + their chemistry was π
Better but still disappointing, I've fast forwarded 70% of episodes 27&28 and watched mainly BCF's storyline.…
How can the first two main leads be sooo disappointing? The FL is totally useless, in episode 28 she could have at least tried to fight because I bet no one would actually kill her because she's from an important family. Then how and why can't WXS fight FYK after he won against God of War which had much more experience and power? How can a plot hole this obvious exist? Also, how can WXS be smart and strong just occasionally, where is the logic? Instead of fighting in the woods, which are great for ambushing let's just fight on the edge of a cliff. Woah
Better but still disappointing, I've fast forwarded 70% of episodes 27&28 and watched mainly BCF's storyline. He surprised me with lines & emotions delivery in episode 27, and honestly he's the only reason I keep watching π
I assume that we will see more politics games being played out from next week the 3 big factions in the eastern…
I think that's a pretty good guess. I can't wait to see more of the story π Regarding the (far) future episodes, in the photo with dates when the episodes will be uploaded there is an icon for most of them. For the 33-34 episode there is this " π" - celebration confetti, my guess would be they might get married. What do you think? Also for episode 35-36 there is this an icon with something similar with a dog, so a bit off from that I guess maybe Pan'er might get pregnant; I assume they won't adopt a dog during that time. What are your thoughts? π
There is something going on between Bai Chou Fei and Lei Mei ( third elder in Six Half Hall ) and not in a romantic…
I feel like they might be relatives / long lost relatives π - They kept sharing liquor - and the vibe is entirely different compared to SMZ and Chief Elder liquor meeting - She saved him in episode 11 ( even tho she is masked, she has a very similar purple outfit & the same hair style and hair pins as when they meet in episode 12 ) - She seems very mysterious and gives off a " murderous " vibe so why would she save him? - Also I don't think her main intention when she first offered him liquor was to humiliate him, she's aware that BCF is highly ambitious and proud therefore he would see the humiliation as a challenge. - Also the conversation they had in episode 12 it was like BCF was rooting for Lei Mei; which is weird considering they are enemies. - Not 100% sure but in one episode Chief Elder of Six Half Hall asks if BCF and WXS have relatives in the capital and the answer was yes, and WXS has his history of growing up in Baixu Garden because he has no relatives. But if she was related to WXS they should have at least meet once till now Something is clearly fishy here
Novel spoilers from MTL-ing the characters' profile from Baidu. Please take this with a grain of salt and note…
If BCF gets killed he will probably die in the last episode as he's the third main lead => a lot of screen time Hope the adaptation does something different with LYN character and gets his fair share of happy ending, but either way I'm still going to watch the drama for him π
I think Su Meng Zhen is a bad person who will hurt our boys
I was thinking the same π He will totally break Bai Chou Fei's heart sooner or later Also it's hard to like Su Meng Zhen when I have a huge biased on LYN
Came for Zhao Lusi after being up to date with the last episode of WRTW and fell in love with Liu Yu Ning's acting. Their chemistry and story was what made me watch the drama in the first place but also what kept me watching it. I liked Changge's "journey", the first main couple but I adored Hao Du & Le Yan. π I wish they had more screen time but it's understandable. I loved how their relationship progressed and how much each character developed. It's incredible how much emotion can Liu Yu Ning express with just his eyes. I rarely cry or get emotional watching dramas but his character got me crying again and again, feeling happy, sad, angry, pissed off & all the emotions he felt, I felt. An unpopular opinion, but his character was by far my favourite character. Watching this just for HaoYan was already very satisfying. The main couple Changge and Sun, also did a great job in their acting, their story was good but there were moments were it lost me and it felt draggy and I might have probably dropped it midway without HaoYan, my personal opinion, no offence to anyone who felt otherwise. π All in all, worth the watch, I'll rewatch this in few months after I (hopefully) forget some of the story, tho I'll probably rewatch just HaoYan moments π¬
The way episode 22 finished omg, I love her dad ( expect the violence which was probably a mistake ), how he ( or shall I say step-father ) went to argue with Mu Tingzhou and showing his support for Weiwei like a true father. It was honestly heartbreaking for me when they called the police and how Weiwei stormed to argue with Mu Tingzhou. Also it was surprising but nice how Wang Yingying had her development.
I was thinking that this drama is overrated. π As i felt cringey when I watched the 1st episode, so i dropped.…
You should. If you can overlook that the translation is not ideal, is totally worth it. Their characters are quite different from the typical ml and fl. The story gets better and the actors did a great job with portraying their characters. Also the chemistry between the leads and their sweet and mature moments, with much more than a peck on the lips it's unexpected coming from a Chinese drama π₯ + it feels natural , because the actors are that good. And I find the food plot interesting too. All in all, itβs a 9.5-10/10 for me so I encourage you to give it another go π
Such an enjoyable second couple, doesn't feel like a filler at all. I'm looking forward to see more of them.
The end of episode 26 he gave me creepy vibes while talking with Lei Chun

I put my hope in the adaptation that BCF doesn't get killed and gets some happiness in the end π

I don't care how many tropes are used as long as it's entraining and enjoyable. I've seen other dramas which make the tropes cringe, uninteresting or annoying. But honestly this drama is just 10/10 for me. The acting and chemistry is amazing on both leads. Episodes 21&22 were π₯. I love how headstrong Ming Wei is regarding her relationship with Mu Yun and how she very clearly separates it from Mu Tingzhou. It's the first time seeing her acting and I'm really impressed how she delivers her emotions and passion, when she's pissed I am pissed alongside, when she cries I want to cry and I rarely cry watching dramas. I'll go back to rewatch episodes 21&22 yay
Also I don't get why some are annoyed at the amnesia part, I found it so funny and lovely, didn't find it draggy, for me it was just the right amount. I loved the idea of giving the character, Mu Yun, the chance to undo his regret and be with the princess, how their relationship evolves and how they choose to live in the moment and be happy.
