Adaptation
It doesn't say but I think between the time he wakes up as fictional character and the time he meets the FL's father are few weeks apart I'd guess. Him, being smart with a high IQ, adaptable + the time available to research and understand how the new world works, I find it believable how he can act to convince FL's father. Also his character used to be an actor, my guess is he is still capable of acting on some level.

It wouldn't make sense to pretend he has amnesia when he acts completely different compared to his real self even when he is alone. Also what would he gain from pretending to have amnesia? He was in denial of his feeling for her before, so it would be unlikely to fake the amnesia to have her close. Also his real self would probably hate going around and "serving" a rookie actress. It would be too weird and uninteresting, no one in the production team would support this idea

Just finished episode 7&8 and oh my , I love it so so much. It's wayyy better than I've expected, this is my favourite ongoing drama including TOOL. I've laughed so much at episode 7 that my cheeks hurt lol 😆 ; also I think this gets better and better with each episode.
Jeremy's acting is just incredible, he made me believe the character without a doubt. The production, story, costumes, actors are just amazingly good. Even the actor and actress in ep 7 playing the psychologist and Auntie Zhao were great and entertaining.
This drama is a very enjoyable surprise, I hope it gets the popularity it deserves 😊

I'm also disappointed by this but I still enjoy his presence as he is a great actor & I personally find the chemistry better than in TAB

It is, in my opinion. I find the ML and FL pretty different and let's say "unusual" (in a good way) from other cdramas. The FL is mature, smart and strong whereas the ML understands her and is kind with her, simply put, however their characters are more complex than this.
At first I was reluctant because of the not so great translation but if you can pass that then you’ll enjoy it. I don’t mind it because I love the story and the actors too much. What made me continue watching this is the crazy chemistry between them, also the second and third couple are lovely as well. But the main couple has so many sweet and mature moments, with more than on peck on the lips. Their chemistry is really something else 🔥 & it doesn’t feel forced.
Also I find the food plot interesting too. If you want a more detailed first impression you can watch “Dine with love - first impression” by AvenueX on YouTube.
All in all, it’s a 9.5-10/10 for me so I highly recommend it 😊

I hope anyone who is not sure about watching this would seriously give it a try. I'm not the biggest fan of action dramas but this one was a masterpiece. My friend who watches mostly action dramas also loved this and is his favourite. The acting was flawless on all actors, especially Namkoong Min, the fighting scenes and car chases were so well designed. The story is exceptional & impossible to predict and very entertaining. I would have loved more episodes or a second season.

10/10 for me, everything was amazing and my all time favourite action drama 💯
I wish this will get to be on Netflix as it deserves way more popularity

Yes and no; on the surface he pretends to have a romantic interest for her but he actually uses her. And she doesn't like him and sees him as a friend but sometimes guards herself against him. I'd say is complex, however it doesn't have any angst and Qian Kaiyi getting jealous it's really entertaining. You should give it a go, it's really good 😊

The SML in The Psychologist, ongoing chinese drama, is wayyyy more scary and creepy haha , I barely find this one scary after watching that. Might be just me tho 😬

- Find yourself
- Sweet teeth
- You complete me
- Love Scenery
- The day of becoming you
- You are my glory
- Gank your heart
- Love is sweet
- My little happiness
- Once we get married & Perfect and casual ( are similar but both are worth watching )
- Stealth walker

Short dramas ( the plot may seem a bit rushed but both are enjoyable and part of the historical genre )
- Queen of attack
- Hold on, my lady

Last one which is one of my top favourites and I highly recommend but doesn’t include romance is King’s Avatar. Hope you find something you’d like 😊

Might not be enough if you didn't see Yang Zi in a long time or if the drama turns out to be really great, also personally I enjoy watching two episodes everyday so the more the better ^^
