currently on ep 28… I cannot believe it took. the mom almost 15 episodes to apologize for slapping Huan (FL) and she wouldn’t have apologized if Huan wouldn’t have talked to her about how hurt she was. The mom is so toxic and manipulative and loves to wreck havoc then play the victim. I know she has her reasons why she is the way she is but she’s too old to be acting like this. They kept telling her what she did was wrong and she keeps acting the same exact way… no character growth at all. Xu Kai’s and Yang Zi’s amazing chemistry are the only reason why I haven’t dropped this. Also, I miss the grandma

I think the breakup happened around episode 22 or 23

1. Yes and no… both FL and ML don’t have feelings for the love rivals (ML sister and FL best friend)
2. 2FL (ML’s sister) caused a break up that lasted a few episodes…
3. Yes.. the break up wasn’t long. The FL broke up with him because his sister was being manipulative.
3. Happy ending but I didn’t really like the ending because there were no real consequences for FL family… everyone just got along at the end.

The acting was great but the story sucked! Xiao Qiao got the short end of the stick. Even though her childhood trauma doesn’t seem as bad as Wei Yang… she deserved to be loved too. Wei Yang never really loved Xiao Qiao… she was just using her to replace all of her terrible memories of her mother (that’s why she moved her into her childhood home). Xiao Qiao was lied to their whole “friendship”. Also while Xiao Qiao is a wreck from the breakup Wei Yang is still sneaking around with him. I feel like she was still sleeping with him because she found out she was pregnant after XQ died. the lighthouse escapade was months ago on New Years.

I think she knew about the affair earlier than that. The scene when XQ meets WY on the roof after meeting her ex… WY asks if she still wanted to know who he was in love with and she told her no.

I’ve been holding out so I can binge it once the last episode is out but it’s getting harder each week 😭😭😭

I like it.. I think. I’m finally on ep 20 but it’s taken so much effort to get here. The drama isn’t bad but it just feels so draggy… I’ve had to talk myself out of dropping it so many times. There’s a lot going on but it still feels like it’s going nowhere… corrupt officials were exposed and no one seems to care, naggy girl is still obsessed with ML after he said he sees her as his sister, I’m still confused why FL and her gang is supposed to be the best (they barely do anything). Also, I understand FL has trauma from when her dad was murdered but why is she so helpless.. she doesn’t need a weapon to know how to atleast defend herself. She’s supposed to be this big bad gang leader but the fashion designer ML is the one that can fight??

It has a good balance… I laughed and cried. I only had a few complaints… the side stories were too long and drawn out. I feel like that time could’ve been used on the main storyline. JianJian’s whole friend group were moochers… I think they briefly mentioned that she was the one taking care of all of them. Also, I wanted to see actual character development for Chen Ting like we did for He Mei and Mei Ying. Chen Ting’s character development was so rushed and unbelievable. I hate how everything Ling Xiao went through was just brushed aside and barely mentioned. Also the boy He Mei was taking care of just disappeared?

Also… Lanxi’s father was so shitty. He didn’t even flinch as his son was beat. He knew what his “wife” and youngest son were doing and he completely ignored it because the family had to be united.

Did Xiyun really have to loose every one close to her???? Like give my girl a freaking break! She lost her dad and brother on the same day, her mentor was murdered, she was almost killed by her martial sister, Han Pu sacrificed himself to save her, she sacrifices herself to save the army, her husband saves her but only has 10 years to live. She went through so much and the reason behind it was so dumb to me. Wuyuan claimed it was all for revenge but he just wanted to be a dictator. Despite all of the that… I actually liked it but it does get draggy with a lot of scheming and politics.

yes but you will definitely cry during the last few episodes. the ending is bittersweet.
