I think that watching this at midnight, by myself, is not one of my brighter decisions. Jump scares galore. The romance better kick in before I scare myself to death.
These bio notes are so ridiculous. "In November 2013, he married an ordinary woman who used to be a model. They welcomed their first child in October 2017." Such a tactless description. I am sure his wife is much above ordinary. She was extraordinary enough to be a model.
Shun's mother is beyond ridiculous. Girl, you somehow forgot you were a hostess at a snack bar and married into money, yet you think you are now high society?
Just when I thought I was going to add Motohara to my "green flag" list, Episodes 4 and 5 totally threw the damper…
He pulls the waffling BS about an ex, who is obviously still obsessed and stirring the pot. And, I want to add Kanako to my unlikeable secondary and supporting character list.
I haven't had such an extreme aversion to a Dramaland mother since Fireworks of My Heart and Fu Wen Ying . I truly despise Kwon Jeong Hui (San Ha's mother). As a mother of sons, I find her toxic and irredeemable. Shame on all the men in her life who have enabled her (brother, first husband, second husband).
This is abysmal at best. Rei's character is overacted in a cheesy imitation of Noeul's portrayal of Rain. While Arashi is certainly no Payu, he isn't a cringe inducing caricature of Boss. I feel for Nagatsuma Reo as he has been in two relatively ok roles prior to this one (Sugar Sugar Honey and Sono Kekkon, Shoki desu ka?). This train wreck derailed before it even left the station.
I know we are not supposed to like Cherry, but after 4 episodes I am so done with her. I keep yelling at the tv - "He doesn't like you, he likes men and has made it abundantly clear that he does not want you around." I just want to smack the stupid out of her.
If this was a 90s dorama, it would have ended with Nagi going back to Shinji. I've seen it maaany times before…
Thank you for such a wonderful analysis. I just started watching this - I can't remember who recommended it. I love it already. I think it is refreshing to see Takahashi Issei in a "mean" guy role. He is such a wonderful actor. Although just an episode in, I think this may go on my "comfort zone" list and I will definitely be watching this again.
Fantastic drama. I don't know why it took me so long to watch this. Just saw my one of my favorites in a cameo - Matsuzaka Tori. Even more reason to love this!!
His biography does not give this talented actor the acknowledgment that he deserves. He has received numerous accolades, awards and recogintion for his performances. I would update it, but I don't have the time to read all the "rules" regarding the updates nor provide the numerous citations I would be required to add.
