Not Dwelling in the Real World
About me ...

I  walk on the nerdy side.  I am a semi-retired social studies teacher in an urban school district (one of the Big 5 in New York State). 

I am a sucker for a good  romance with a happily ever after.  I do not like dramas or movies with open endings - I need the closure and my anxiety kicks in.  I have been so absorbed in my Japanese, Korean, Thai and Chinese Dramas/Movies that I haven't watched an entire English language series in forever. It took me 2 years to complete season 1 of Bridgerton.  I left the series there. 

My J-Drama and anime adventure began when I was an exchange student to Sagae, Japan in 1985. Several years ago, I watched Fukuyado Honpo  on Amazon and my interest in J-Drama was refueled. I have since branched out to Korean, Chinese, Thai and Taiwanese dramas.

Amazon Prime - there were not a lot of foreign language options at the time.

I  know, random. I somehow watched a clip on YouTube and decided to watch the series. I really enjoyed episodes 3-5.  I think Ryeoun is the next Lee Min Ho. 
Chinese Drama

Mysterious Love

Another YouTube clip that caught my attention.
I loved Tsao Yu Ning in this series. I need to see more of him.

Don't judge! We all need a starting point. To be honest I resisted this genre for a while. Some really good dramas have been made, and Thailand is bringing it in 2025.
