I disagree either everything you’ve written. First they are recorded on set.
Second they are actor, emotions carry though voice as much as body language even more so.
If you can’t act (voice) it’s pretty bad.

If what you said were true, most actors would be dubbed worldwide , it’s not the case. I understand the specificities of a country with so many dialects and accents

I just fon’t like it but the only thing I can do is drop shows which dubs are atrocious and accept those that are okay and just express my disappoint when actors that are actually good are being dubbed like in this instance.

It’s very common for cdramas to be dubbed. More so in costume dramas than modern.

It has to do with not having an accent and being able to speak mandarin. It is annoying.
I fon’t understand why they would actually think their dubbers do a better job than they did but if they think that dubbers are better actors then they are that is kinda telling about them.
I don’t get it they’re great actors.
She’s producing so that was her decision.

Here, all of the actors are being dubbed but I think the actor playing her mother isn’t. Î’m not entirely sure .
As for lgx, it’s very close to his voice but it’s not his voice.

The makeup/cgi in the first episodes on “earth” is done in a way to make him look way younger than he is in real life, it’s actually disturbing. His make up after he goes back to gods’s realm is way better and acknowledge his true age and he looks okay.

I don’t think he needs to look older than his 36/37 in real life despite being the oldest god. It’s not about the looks i think.

I would say Zhou ye is more annoying than anything cgi 🤣 (sorry not sorry)

I do understand the sentiment though. But right now the parrot is spunky. I don’t think he is in the cute category though he is cute.

I am so happy they have kept a CGI bird in the immortal realm. Whether it’s her in bird form or another I love these little pets.
