I feel the same but i think for me it is mostly the disconnect between the (quality of the) plot and the visuals/ost. I dont think they match eachothers vibes very well? The story has a clear wattpad/tropey feel but they add such grandiose background music in this version it makes the 'shallowness' of the story more apparent. At least i was very disappointed when i watched the directors cut a year ago and it soured my experience. Recently, though, ive been rewatching the show (regular drama version) again and idk its fulfilling me completely and ive been enjoying it a lot more. Maybe its the nostalgia too, the movie version felt so foreign, distant and off idk... additionally, i think with every rewatch you notice something new. The directors cut made me recognise taejoos faults much more, rewatching the series now im focused on how it shows taejoo realising his feelings for gook.

Oh yea sorry i didnt consider this option. Seems like it because for me they work just fine. Maybe i could download them and upload them to a cloud if you want to watch them. Just lmk

Right it got so brutal for no reason sometimes, i didnt really like it either, felt like it was added for pure shock value. Alot of the episodes dont utilise Yuri well too imo

I was rooting for this show but so far the actings stiff, the plot and structure unfocused, the production low budget and the characters kind of weird, their motivations and behaviour seem unclear to me. Ill continue watching but i hope they step it up soon

i need him in my life so badly

while the shows pretty rough around its edges and has a couple of flaws, i consider it to be required viewing for any thai drama/bl fan because it touches on a plethora of important subjects not discussed in barely any other show. (at least theres no other bl coming to my mind that dares to be as political and critical). Apart from this, the shows pretty engaging and does showcase Offguns acting abilities (it might be Offs best performance and it also shows off multiple sides of Gun as well as hes portraying two separate characters). First is outstanding in this too and his scenes with Fluke (Gawin) are my favourite part about the show, just for Dan and Yok its worth a watch imo.
