It is drowned by the fucked up relationship and plot twists but this movie also highlights how women are perceived and treated by people/specifically men, societal expectations, roles and how it effects them in the workforce and shapes their relationship among eachother (female rivalry). Also discusses the struggles of contract workers and nepotism/the power of the rich.
Im so upset i could cry lol. This series started off so perfect, so many nuanced conversations that resonated with me... the characters were destinct but unique and charming... i laughed and it warmed my heart... but the last few episodes... one terrible decision after another. Did they switch writers somewhere along the way or did it turn out this way because they cut down the number of episodes? It felt rushed, unecessarily dramatic... they tore apart all the established relationships... and pushed this forgiveness-narrative... which i guess wouldnt have been so terrible... if piengkwan wasnt such a horrible person.... I guess it wants to be realistic but... it fails as soon as it shows people forgiving somebody just because they acknowledged they did horrible shit like...........
