Jeonghee's adoptive mother; she's crazy 🤪 jeonghee will not want to be controlled by her anymore but I'm not entirely sure how she will break away. With jeongnam back in the storyline, he will want to cause havoc with his sister who is now rich + will definitely be on the news and tv alot for miss korea. We will get some tea and drama from this chaotic trio! Oh and the manager that jeonghee stabbed might make a comeback here too, he's definitely holding a grudge.

yeongbae & saeri; are a green-lit go ✅ in her lowest moments, she seemed to appreciate and admire yeongbae more for being kind, gentle and warm while she cried. To have a partner like this that can embrace you as you're falling apart is essential. I hope their love line would develop nicely! They're not together yet but still seems safe to say they will!

Jeongsik & jeonghee; I cannot say this ship will sail even when he said he wants to side her if he could (but ultimately will support youngrye instead). So I don't think he will make a move at the moment? BUT with jeongnam being released - I hope he can help jeonghee once again, which he may not be able to push for his love interest during this moment but will continue to be there for her. Of course, jeonghee to jeongsik is more of a supportive aid type person and not love interest since she is currently pursuing jaepil. Although once she finds out in the next episode that jaepil chose youngrye, she won't be able to pursue jaepil anymore. Still doesn't mean she will accept jeongsik as lover 🤷

Sure, it was nice that a truth uncovered jaepil's father's true intentions and proved that jaepil's pov from young was unreliable, he misunderstood what his father did to his bio mum and this allowed the father and son to reconcile. ok sure, nice. but this only makes me wonder whether the earlier easter egg scenes about jaepil's kind acts are out of real love interest or just out of kindness. This matters because it would show if the entire time deep inside he had feelings for youngrye despite ultimately chasing jeonghee who piqued his interest and pulled his heartstrings.

I personally feel he did everything out of kindness for youngrye and not that he was interested in her. So i'll pull this opinion below when I talk about episode 10's ending scene.

I'll skip talking about summary of episode 9 since I had previously left a comment here about it already. But episode 10 is a train gone haywire.... what plot? what character development? HAHA I can only laugh at how ridiculous each scene unfolded.

Let's start with the jaepil's family dynamics then ultimately jaepil X youngrye [ spoiler tag below ]

I'm wondering if I missed out something important about jeonghee's personality? Why does it feel like she has an innately bad character but I don't see it in the scenes? Don't get me wrong, she did:

- miss all the cues about youngrye having a big crush on 'giant' aka jaepil
(but - this one is on youngrye for not being upfront about her feelings)
- jeonghee proceeds to go out with him, spend time with him & grew a love interest
(still not jeonghee's fault, they're just youths trying things out for the first time)
- went stabby stabby to protect youngrye because she thought she was in danger
(this one is criminal but shows me she is a protective friend)
- became rich overnight but doesn't seem snobbish or rude like rich people are?
- comes back into everyone's lives and catches up + helped out
(gives me 'she's sweet' vibes, kinda wholesome)
- but from here (i'm guessing because she missed out on all those years with everyone), she seems to want to 'steal back' all the moments that were lost and to 'get back' what originally was hers (aka jaepil as her boyfriend then to undo the break up (even though her last comment was 'its more important who jaepil chooses', to have her best friend who she had fun running around with, her youthful dream of winning miss korea and be the prettiest one there)

^ this part gave me the shudders.. adding on, her conversation with jeongsik and his remark to her that things need to flow naturally..... :/

After episode 10, it seems they're fighting over the pageant too 😂 this is so crazy..... it wasn't even yeongrye's goal LOL

The attitude in our comment threads show how truly toxic this show really is T^T Whilst I keep writing to root for the friendships and growth of youngrye, the foundation of the drama has been broken and I can't truly expect the ending of their story to be positive – how could it really be? A lot of compromise will be necessary for everyone to take a step back in order to live in harmony. I guess tonight's episode 10 should be able to determine roughly how the finale would go. And I do have a habit of not watching the last episode of dramas if I don't like how it develops 🤣 oops, unfortunately with the current stage of the story – I don't have good feelings. How can it be at 85% story completion, there was so much truth being hidden despite all the 'good friendships'? It's just like sangcheol's last comment to jeonghee, 'How can you be best friends when you don't know each other?' 💔 They want to do good for each other but ultimately why does it seem to become potentially hurtful.........

With the teaser, my prediction was totally thrashed with both girls saying they want to make their move for jaepil 😭 and jonghyun going to jaepil to say he will be making his move now, I'm not sure if it will pressure jaepil to make his own moves (if he likes youngrye) or if it will help him realise clearly that youngrye is just a good friend. Either way I totally assumed the girls would choose one another and save their friendship instead of pursuing such a turbulent love line....

No wonder the calm before a storm was highlighted... to finally hear and see the scene where japeil mentions to jeonghee about her sudden disappearance and for youngrye to admit 'yeah its so like jeonghee to disappear like that' was so wrong.

For jeonghee to do everything she has missed out on - to reconnect with everyone and catch up on what's going on, to have her best friend back, to confess once again to jaepil her honest feelings. She was brave for this even though it felt 'wrong' when she knows youngrye's feelings. When she heard 'youngrye is my friend' from jaepil, it was an immediate green light to her. 😳 With the teaser [see spoiler comment]

in english shows there's the olive theory 🥹 where they say you find someone you're meant to be with if they fit your mismatch - eg when someone eats something you don't like but I feel this is a misdirection/mislead from the writers 🤣 they seem to enjoy misleading us with the teasers and trailers

Some late night thoughts about 'a hundred memories', if you know a little korean – it's not '100 memories but rather 'no. 100 memories' or 'memories of no. 100'. I can't help but wonder, was there a butterfly effect from the girls of bus 100. Through the news coverage of the workers' strike and awareness of the open-door accident plus of course, the change of times, did their powerful movement create an important wave that possibly changed the way bus fares are conducted. No more open-door accidents in the current day 7 years after the incident.

I do know that youngrye made a power move after the strike and after the manager's confrontation, she really grew stronger by standing up for herself and everyone. I root for her and the girls of bus no. 100, I hope their years to come after their hardship will be rewarded massively. For old dreams to be achieved and new dreams to be made. They were once young, poor and lonely girls that found each other, every day shined because they had one another to rely on. :') Dear writer-nim, please be kind to them.

I can't say I'm on board with jeonghyun to youngrye (sorry T-T).. It pains me that we've seen jeonghyun realise 'ah I'm a step too late' too many times.. I wonder if truly he can catch the best moment to open up to youngrye + get youngrye to acknowledy & also accept, reciprocate such feelings for him. He is sincere, he is kind, he is generous but he seems to miss many moments to build a good chemistry with youngrye. We may see his romantic side (his side glances for youngrye and affection for her) but it doesn't seem like youngrye sees this. 🥲

I view yeongsik as the wise one (& his mum too with her 'they're the ones that have to want this. If a couple is meant to be, they will find each other. If they are not, nothing you do will make it happen' - I want to believe this & I want to be okay with the final decision that will be made). For yeongsik, he's aware of jeonghee to jaepil's feelings & I'm sure yeongsik also knows how jaepil had viewed her (from him running after her at the police station, jaepil cares deeply about jeonghee at that time).

I want to see/hear more from his pov about youngrye & her situation 🥲 in episode 9 trailer, jeonghyun will bring up jeonghee-youngrye-jaepil situation. I hope we hear more from yeongsik! What would he have to say to/for his dongsaeng 🥹

About jaepil, I still can't care less about him 😭 albeit he had a family downfall, but the amount of support he (& his family) has received from youngrye (& her family!) – with how much he buries himself in work & studies, I do not expect him to develop real, clear, direct, transparent feelings for anyone. And I'm on the side that really hopes youngrye lands a partner that choose her from day 1, is open and direct about their feelings from day 1. Not someone who takes forever to notice her, not someone who isn't clear about that interst in her. That's not a lot to ask for.

Seems many are picking out love triangle from the episodes to come but (I hope I'm not wrong for this) it feels to me that the girls will hold onto each other especially right now. Already so much time has been lost, I feel they would choose to pick each other rather than fall into the love triangle. No doubt the teaser and side glances may suggest some unsaid love feelings. If you were in the girls' pov, would you go forth with your love interest at a precious time like right now? I'm not them but I personally wouldn't... and to see how they embraced each other in a hug and clung onto each other's arms in reconciliation, I really wouldn't..
