Miss Sherlock was the first I thought of. And I totally agree, it did feel like it was partly a BBC Sherlock adaption at some points but moreover the end wasn't really an end so I am sure there will be a second season.
At first, I was a bit unsure if I should give it a try or not (because of Chae Soo Bin) and I must say even though it's her typical character again, this drama has such a warm and especially fresh feeling because of the airport theme. However, the action scenes are way too exaggerated and cringy...
this is more disappointing than i thought. can't believe they have the guts to even call it "the beauty inside" when the movie had a completely different message.
Of all these adaptations, I've only watched Boys over flowers and I hated it so much. It felt wrong, I couldn't get into the characters and it annoyed the shit out of me but it's a classic. Simply, it is something you should watch as a (in my case of bof) k-drama fan. One reason is that there are so many jokes, puns and inside jokes based on this very drama and I think it's nice to understand them.
Recently, every 10th character has been to Germany and is apparently fluent in German but when they open their mouth they speak like idk GOOGLE TRANSLATE??? I mean kids, come on, are you telling me there is not a single German person the writers could ask for help?
It's really cringy to watch this as a German because they will use a "swear word" even elementary school students think of as something ridiculous while having a dead-serious face
I speak German and Rusian and I translate Russian comedy videos for my German-speaking friends. And let me tell you something, it's a pain in the ass. I love subbing and everything is fun but I found out that translating comedy is really hard because jokes & humor are different in other languages.
A nice article that's probably very helpful for new users on MDL. When I started to use mydramalist it took me some time to get used to the site and a guide like this will help new members
Really nice article. I enjoyed reading it and will definetly check out a few of those I haven't seen yet.
AND I TOTAL AGREE WITH HEROINE DISQUALIFIED BECAUSE LIKE THE MALE LEAD DID NOTHING. I AM STILL NOT QUITE SURE IF HE ACTUALLY LIKED HER BECAUSE WOW LET'S DATE HER LIKE THE OTHER GIRL. Point is, I go with the first male leads in 99% of everything I have ever seen or read and WHY WHY NOT THE 2ND LEAD??? He was caring. Was there for you all the time, made you happy but you decide to choose you childhood friend?? (this drama even made me a hoe for Sakaguchi Kentaro)
The problem with this drama is the person doing the subs ,It has bad grammar still doesn't know the difference…
The subs were better in episode 3, so I just hope they'll stay that way (or improve). Otherwise, I'll probably text the subber and offer them helpING with grammar as a proofreader. I mean, we all are thankful for subs but AHHHH
It's not that she did something wrong in particular. It's just her personality and the way the writer decided to portray her. She is the typical flawless first love. Her University-self is a Mary Sue.
And wasureta-yume perfectly put her weird behavior towards Joo Hyuk into words. She knows a huge number of men will fall for her and she is taking "advantage" of that by acting as she pleases.
This is so cliche and I tend to hate this kind of plot so I don't really know why I am enjoying it that much. It's kinda funny and Jae Hwan makes my heart go doki doki
So to everyone who enjoys silly characters/plot with funny friendships and can ignore (medical) inaccuracies, I would definitely recommend it. It's nothing worldshaking nor is it breaking stereotypes. It's a light drama and simply something to watch if you have some time left to spend.
This really smells like strong character development (in terms of the male lead) and I hope it'll be done nicely. Also, the female lead is a good actress. Never thought she'd be an idol.
I do kinda want to watch it but so far it just seems like a boring and cheesy robot x human plot and I don't know if I really want to spend my time on that
Best Japanese Actress: Takeuchi Yuko (Miss Sherlock)

i see pretending to love each other and add it to my plan to watch list gosh...

I personally find her character really annoying.
Both are good and worth watching
And congratulations on your wedding!!
