a) it was literally.....a misunderstanding...... he wrote something abt liking a food called pafangun or smth, this fan misread it as "fan gun" w fan meaning bf/gf in thailand and gun as in gun atthaphan....... i'm struggling to work out how exactly that warrants the sort of response it did.
b) actual lgbt folk in thailand CANNOT get roles a lot of the time because of people like krist; newyear kitiwhut has been rejected from 99% of shows he's auditioned for because of the fact that he has a boyfriend and it may start dating rumours with his costars. jennie panhan in 3 will be free was the first time i've seen an actual trans person, in a trans role, in a thai drama and not be reduced to a joke. i am l i t e r a l l y gay, have had a girlfriend and everything! and you're trying to tell me what is and what isn't homophobia? lol ok.
c) congrats on exposing urself ms homophobe, that is in fact the very definition of homophobia. we aren't diseased. you can't be infected with the gay just by looking at us. there's nothing inherently different about a gay romance vs a straight one. ""bl"" shouldn't even be considered a separate genre than straight romance but is it bc y'all break out in hives whenever you have to see two guys so much as hold hands.
d) you seem to have missed the point that i don't even want him near any lgbt roles but anyway. have you SEEN his career lately? every single show he's been in has flopped and he's still riding off the coattails of singto and sotus. him being a homophobe has literally harmed his career. see also godt itthipat who did the same with 2moons, literally got the show cancelled and the rest of the cast fired because of his homophobia, and has since been seen doing casting calls for shows like love by chance because he realised that people don't care about him otherwise. both of them rejecting roles that would actually be good for their careers just bc the roles are gay reeks of a) homophobia, and b) snobbery, as if gay roles are worth less than straight ones.

He had like,, a q&a session on twitter or something back in January?? A fan misunderstood one of his responses, took it that he and Gun were dating and he responded by calling her that. It's well known throughout the tumblr and twitter circles but the original posts have been deleted by now, so I can understand if you don't believe me.
Yes, it's his choice to not take certain roles, however choosing to put lgbt romance in a different category than straight romance (which he seems to have no problem acting out) makes him a homophobe. End of story. There shouldn't be a whole other genre of tv for us, because we aren't allowed to mingle with straight folks, to start with, but that's another story.
It's not the fact that he doesn't want to do any lgbt shows though; it's the fact that he literally kick started his career off of a singular gay role, because he knows that's what's popular in Thailand, and then when questioned about his sexuality, proceeded to recoil and react as if someone suggested he eats babies for breakfast. He could've said "mad respect but that ain't me" and we wouldn't have had a problem. Instead, he posted an instagram story of him frowning with the caption "Absolutely NO!!!!" and about 30 angry faces. He could've said that he is an actor, so it's his job to act. He could've said that he doesn't want to take any more gay roles because he doesn't want to be typecast. He could've made his fame by literally any other means but he instead chose to exploit us and then drop us the second he had what he wanted. Actual lgbt folk have trouble getting roles in Thailand and yet people like him get a free pass because they're "safe" from media speculation.
You don't see it as bad because you're straight and you're not the one affected by it.

He has also vehemently denied any association with the LGBT community, called a fan a "stupid bitch" once for thinking he and Gun Atthaphan were dating, has been actively refusing LGBT roles since he made his money from Sotus, and refuses to actually watch any of the BL shows on air bc he doesnt want to see guys kissing.
Did we NEED remakes of these? A) GMMTV would be better focusing on their shows that are actually interesting like The Gifted, and B) Krist is a massive homophobe who's all round a terrible person. I think I'll be giving these a miss.
