I watched the first two episodes, and I dislike the main leads. Both are very rude, she has been picking on him…
This is a late reply but I dropped it on episode 3 I believe because of the same thing (I also found the plot confusing), but I picked it back up after a few months and actually enjoyed it! It was kind of nonsensical like someone below described it but it did get better to me after the first few episodes if that means anything haha
In case you put it on hold for a bit to remember what you felt about it or also to give the people who want to…
Understandable but I still don’t think it really makes sense to rate a show that you plan on continuing to watch, especially when there’s only a few episodes out 🤷♀️ Putting a show on hold means you’re not watching it at the moment so I find that a little different to me. I’m aware the rating is going to change over time as it already has… either way this is just my opinion :) people can rate all they want lol 😂
Why do people rate shows before they are finished, especially if you plan to complete the show 😭 If you're going to keep watching you should just hold your rate until the end in my opinion. Now if you're dropping the show that's a different story 😂
Yeah Gang Tae didn't really excuse or romanticize her behaviour but that didn't stop a lot of viewers from romanticizing…
True but viewers romanticizing her behavior isn't really the writer's fault in that case. It's really up to viewers to understand what is acceptable in a real life scenario and what's not and some people aren't there yet I guess?? I don't know but I agree that people do romanticize the wrong things sometimes but it doesn't necessarily mean the drama set it up to be that way. Depends on the show and your opinion of it though but that's my two cents lol
I don't know if it's just me but for It's Okay to Not be Okay I didn't really find that any of the characters really romanticized or excused her behavior. Gang Tae didn't like her for a good portion of the show but in the end was willing to love her as she was while knowing what disorder she has. Them becoming a couple didn't bother me because I know the drama is fiction but I can understand it being poor depiction of ASPD if people with this disorder can not fall in love (I don't know a whole lot about ASPD). I think it's important that everyone realizes that shows are fiction and may/probably won't be 100% true BUT I do agree that illnesses should be portrayed as true as possible. I think when other genres come into the mix like romance in IONTBO is when some things become a little unrealistic but again the shows are fiction and made for entertainment.
I really liked true beauty but I agree with the miss of the lesson. Instead of JuKyung having an "I accept the fact that I'm pretty on the inside and the outside no matter what society tells me" moment, she has the moment of accepting her "ugliness" which really took away from the moral story 😭 I loved the fact she stood up for herself but if I remember correctly she never says that she's beautiful. Regarding her needing someone to help her find her beauty.. I think a lot of us have had moments where we need support and someone to help us move through difficult situations and that's what I saw Suho there for. Sometimes we need someone to help us get back on track/help us until we can help ourselves. I saw Suho as her moral support person who spoke positively to her In the end JuKyung made the decision to stand up to her bullies on her own, I just think Suho was her moral support person.
I don't know about decent but he gets jealous in the episode. And he's sweet and caring towards her but he's been…
I saw other people say the same thing and that never crossed my mind originally 😭 thank you for explaining what you think his thought process is :) Also, I need this show airing twice a week lol 😂
Do you think Jae on had a little development?? I Haven't watched ep3 and people were saying that he became decent??
I don't know about decent but he gets jealous in the episode. And he's sweet and caring towards her but he's been like that since the beginning in my opinion.
Okay! I admit that the plot got basic after the mid part but it didn't seem like it became worst. For me even…
In general no one should be bashing anyone. Everyone has the right to either like or dislike the drama. It doesn’t make anyone better than the next person. Everyone just needs to be respectful in their comments/reviews. They should be about the show and not the people watching. But I do understand your point, I know I was a bit bothered seeing many negative comments about DAYS since I liked it and the easy fix for me was to skip over the comments. I read some and I skipped some because I’ve gotten the general consensus of why people didn’t like the drama which is understandable. All in all everyone should speak their mind, just try to leave rude comments towards viewers out. And this isn’t aimed at anyone in this thread in specific, just wanted to voice my opinion haha.
I loved DAYS for what it was. After realizing the writer was focusing more on the message of life and love instead of the fantasy aspect, I think it was easier for me to go over the flaws regarding the fantasy plot. I would recommend this show to anyone interested in dramas about life and possibly melodramas. And if you're a sucker for romance I think PBY and SIG will do you justice 😆 If you're watching for fantasy you might be slightly disappointed but I honestly think DAYS is worth at least trying to watch.
Sidenote: I think some people came into watching DAYS expecting something different (ex. something similar to Goblin where it was super fantasy forward) and that can also ruin/dampen your experience with the show. From what I've learned, it's almost always better to start watching with little to no expectations because expectations can really mess with your viewing experience. And then some people just really don't like the drama and that's okay too :) Everyone has different tastes so it makes sense that every drama will have dislikers.
Someone planted the idea of BaWu and DaeYeop, and there’s no going back. I ship them more than the OTP lolz…
I like this drama but I agree that it could be shorter and still convey the same message. Also, I’m glad I’m not the only one that finds cha dol’s birth mom AND ba wu’s mom annoying like you just got back into nobility and already acting higher than thou 😭 and the ex wife is self explanatory 🙃 and I agree that the show is more about politics than romance but I kind of figured in the beginning.
guys is this a romance drama or not ??and if so is it promising with happy ending ???
I'm only on episode 12 but it's more of a historical drama than romance. With that being said, there are moments of endearment that I think will be clear to you but there are other driving forces of the drama as well that are more front and center in the episodes. I think there's enough romance where you can see it and works with the storyline. I hope this helps lol.
With the way the story is going it seems like there will be a happy ending of some sort but I'm not sure since I'm not completely caught up.
I really loved episode 13!! I'm also loving the series as a whole but I do see the flaws. What has me still hooked is the chemistry, wanting to know what will happen, and the story itself (the idea of the show is unique). I think the major miss of DAYS is the writing. The plot is a little shallow (ex. the goddess's role, Myeol Mang's background story) and the pacing is a little awkward (like when did they fall in love genuinely?? They kind of said it but I wish it was a bit clearer to see rather than hear). The show is also a little repetitive with the sayings and moments but I find them sweet regardless lol. Overall, I still love the drama despite its flaws, probably because romance is my favorite genre and DAYS has that part 100% sold for me 😆 the story is ok and the flaws haven't bothered me as much evidently since I'm still eager to watch the show, I just wish the writers had put more depth in the plot and some of the characters. I think everyone should judge the show for themselves. Watch 4 or so episodes and see how you feel and read reviews CRITICALLY. If you don't like the show, that's fine 👍 and if you do, yayyyy 😊
For me, I found the ending somewhat unsatisfying. Something about the FL's death and the rest of the episode was eh for me. I felt more emotional about the cop's death than I did hers, her death was kind of just placed there in my opinion. And then the end felt kind of incomplete, I was thinking we would get more info about FL's friend, brother, etc. but I can understand why we didn't since the focus was on finding Myung Hee. Overall I liked youth of may for the historical part but not so much the personal stories.
