For Jiang Cheng it's the opposite, his courtesy name is Jiang Wanyin but everyone who is close to him calls him Jiang Cheng or A'Cheng. You are right though about everything else, great explanation!!

If you are strictly here because you read the manhua or the novel, or watch the donghua don't expect it to be exactly the same. It's a drama so the writers and the creators are putting their own spin and twists on it.

With that being said, I am actually really liking this adaptation of it so far with watching the first episode. It is weird though watching Tang San scream and run away, but then that is what makes it funny and more realistic in a way. I can't wait to watch more once this drama finishes up!
