Maybe they don't have the chemistry to start with. Si lin wanted to see sijin's happiness because he loved her, so he tried to bring him back. But I don't felt sijin's love for zi yang. Except calling themselves best friends, I don't really feel anything like friends among them.
I can only feel zi yang's helplessness to live in this world. And si lin going back and forth is really unnecessary. They can do better.

Peng yu chang made me watch this. I felt his character a bit pathetic. From my view, he might be suffering from depression. He might have loving friends and family on the surface, but no one actually paid attention to his mental health. He made his friend lost his career, but he never wanted to escape from that. He worked hard to find a solution. But he never wanted to bow to his destiny. But he lost all the time. His father didn't understand him, his friends thought he was changed, and doesn't want to understand him a bit. His last bit of hope was crushed by sijia by pushed him away. I am still thinking, if he speaks up and tell his worries, this wouldn't have happened. But no depressed person would want to speak their worries to others. What's the use of telling everything after the person left the world. Sijia always thought he was changed, but no one thought why he changed and doesn't even want to know about him.
But it's a bit unfair that sijia and silin became a couple right after his death. When he was vanishing from this world, I felt empty. He might have thought regret is the only thing it comes to his mind, it's not just him. Who wouldn't regret their past decisions in this world?? We all are imperfect and want to go back to change our past mistakes. But taking our lives doesn't change anything.
Still, I hope the people who suffers in reality, don't give up no matter how many people crush you.

I am not as knowledgeable as you. So I try my best to not offend anyone, and rarely state my opinions. Can you tell me why my comment is offending? I was mistaken twice in this week already. Why comparing an unrelated drama?? Joy of life is not a time travelling concept because of the sensor issues. They made it more complicated that we can't understand now because it wasn't finished even after two seasons. This drama has high budget and the novel is a big hit. The most of the fans came from the novel readers and the author's fans.
The costumes has a drastic change from s1 to s2 because of the gap. zhang ruoyun is underrated intentionally, and dylan has more international fans. What is going on?? His drama is not getting much because of other issues in the industry, I don't think it's because of Joy of life. But still, international fans are supporting him, The guardian of dafeng is still a hit and had good rating.
If you compare things, you can't enjoy great things.
