The original work is kinda rubbish in some aspects, but we can't completely disregard the original author. He created a masterpiece that I really appreciate his way of thinking except fan xian's moral character .

It's maybe your opinion, but you don't need to let us know. That's really disappointing yet disrespectful. I made a new friend online and she said she only watches dramas with good looking people. And I stopped suggesting her underrated dramas with good stories and good cast,because that's useless. I thought people can enjoy good stories but I assumed wrong. I know few people get into c/kdramas because of their looks. Maybe that's why people with great skills were not popular internationally but mostly appreciated for their acting. Zhang ruoyun got the outstanding award though.
casually checking Zhang ruoyun dramas to start his drama. But among all his high rated dramas, this one was rated 6.6. Wondered to see ye cheng, junhui, tan jian ci , hong yi and still got 6. I think this was one of their early days drama.
