As stated, 'People say that 18 is a carefree age, but all the moments were too serious to say I was not worried.' Even in the first episode, they highlighted this sentiment multiple times. However, when it came to execution afterwards, it fell flatter than a pancake.
The usual stale COVID-19 bits and scenarios, totally dull without an ounce of creativity. That aside, Love Playlist was dead three seasons ago and resurrecting it with a reboot was nothing but a colossal failure. Hopefully, this is gonna be the end of the playlist.
A bloated mess. Shoving a handful of too many characters and stories in a small package that couldn't accommodate for the change, making the whole thing out of focus and disorganized. It also failed in adding anything substantial to the original Love Playlist plotlines. Only "Han Jae In" was semi-relevant in that regard, even then, her story fell quite short. I guess they wanted to take it into a new direction without making a reboot but didn't know what to do with the original cast members.
Borderline terrible, this was the season where they ran the playlist concept into the ground. That aside, as a stand alone, this one was a good contender as one of the worst writings for a breakup. Braindead approach just to get to the finish line. In comparison, this was the worst one out of the 4 seasons.
Watching the other 3 seasons will make you appreciate the first season more for its concise length and straightforward delivery for what it initially promised. On another note, the last episode wasn't good.
Nice concept and setup but the daughter/mother dynamic and issues were kept to bare minimum barely scratching the surface for what they initially presented.
