I've seen a metric ton of different media, including Korean ones, with the setting "holding hostages on live broadcast" and this one was simply and unarguably the worst iteration.
The whole thing was quite obvious from the beginning, so when the reveal came it didn't even matter. The special had a very slow start with the most generic "man sees ghost" displays.
It was an okay short journey. Although it was 4 episodes but there was a slight drag in the middle parts. One of the listed genres here is romance but the drama didn't have any other than the last 15 minutes stretch.
Most of the attempts at humor felt forced and contrived. Him creating a situation thinking he would transfer soon was probably the only highlight in regard to humor and comedy. It tried to capture the bittersweet essence of youth but, in turn, felt like a jumble, somewhat disoriented and easily forgettable.
Usually, Lee Won Jong fits in all kinds of molds across hundreds in his career but his character in this drama was just not it. Anyway, the special was meh.
The special was empty and they delayed the incident for way too long, after which, they slapped a fast wrap up. They should've shifted the focus on the incident and the investigation from the beginning since it didn't have much to offer anyway. A poor structure for ML character and a poorer choice for the title of the special.
