Such a good movie that forces you to look at the harsh reality of socioeconomic and the perception of those struggling vs the well-off.
I would highly recommend watching this and try to avoid spoilers., part of the movie's charm is not knowing what's going to happen. I would say expect everything

I really liked the male lead. A good romance movie to warm your heart.

While I have issues with the "transformation" I still found the love and interactions cute and honestly refreshing. Such pure and puppy love made me all giddy and made my heart flutter -lol and I aint young...I didn't mind the pace, I felt like I was part of their journey and it got me nostalgic.
If you get over some hiccups, this is a cute series you'd watch with little tension.

I think it has to do with the way they were cut and presented in different platforms.

I don't understand people that feel so entitled when liking someone. The classmate who said oh why it has to be XMM and that she's not to LYN standards, like what?! who are you to decide?! I'm glad he told her off and was very on point with his response. Also I'm kindda getting satisfaction watching LKT getting cold shoulder from Xin Xin.

Well I'm left with more questions than answers...many have said it before this has the scent of Lost all over and honestly if it's going to be as jarring and dragging then I'll likely drop after 2 seasons (if any more are made).

I went full "awwwwww" at what he did in the lighthouse T.T

ep.21 he bent for her to take a look...that was the cutest thing I've seen in a drama in a long time ~

It's good to get these philosophies out of my system since now I'm in a slumb which hasn't happened in a long time. I'm rewatching the series and listening to the OST hoping to get on with my life XD

Ah you put it so nicely! The quote by CJ is so true and while I criticize him, like you said he's very human. I myself on occasions lack the courage to correct a wrong or defend a person -which makes me feel like shit but it's a survival instinct. While I didn't read the novel I read some summaries and excerpts people wrote. There are major differences and even character change in WWX I dare say. However I don't mind the changes (at least from what I read) and I think a lot of the main themes stand.

I began to watch this since it kept popping up on MDL main page, and I'm glad I did. I had to write down my incoherent thoughts! So much is packed into this story that I'm overwhelmed. While the story follows WWX , it's so much more than His Story. So many tragedies, regrets, misunderstandings, devastation, cowardness, hate, manipulation, hypocrisy, false righteousness... One tyranny falls only for others to spring. Some of the most prominent moments that reflects reality are 20s eps. Humanity gets lost when it's "the other" and "the enemy", no mercy, no forgiveness. The meetings where different sect leaders damning WWX , painting him as the devil , no one had a spine but MianMian choosing to stand up for what's right (& lwj). In life many are flunkies following what's said w/out thinking or just choosing to be part of the herd. While I understand JC as a leader that he needs to be tactful- but honestly he's ungrateful to those who saved his life, and he's a selfish and a coward. There are the manipulators who weave the stories of others prompting misery and pain. While in a way WWX gets a second chance, many lost and never got their redemption story.
Anyway I just needed to get some of the chaos out of my head. This is a really good story, with a well written script. There are a lot of technical issues, but the good writing and execution by most actors cover the blemishes. WWX has become one of my favorite characters.

She's so funny her reactions are immediate and she doesn't hold back XD

The acting and filming location were great. Non is a great actor and he has good chemistry with Punpun (who I'll admit not my favorit). I think the idea is there but something about it just doesn't feel right and wasn't done well. Also I'm not sold on the romance, I mean I feel it's rushed and they do mention that in the series. Even Tee's answer as to why he loves her -to me- wasn't convincing. Honestly I thought the ending was good and what made me give this series an extra 0.5.
Overall, I think this is a good watch, it's a slow burner but has a lot of emotions and the acting is good.

I'm sorry I get that Pai likes him and all but she's hella annoying and acts like a spoiled child.
